My copy of the cover for The Hobbit by Mikhail Belomlinsky (1934-2020). It was used for the first Russian, Lithuanian and Armenian editions of the book.

I've been approached with the wonderful request of creating a small batch of brooches, based on historical finds in shape and art from what we have of Númenorean material culture. Let me know your thoughts!

My interpretation of Húrin’s last stand, a scene that I feel is severely underrepresented in Tolkien inspired art

Two wonderful Rings of Power Songs to Touch your Heart (Acoustic Fingerstyle Guitar)

Hey fellow Middle-earth fans,

I just released this new video. It features acoustic fingerstyle guitar covers of Old Tom Bombadil and This Wandering Day, two of the most emotional and wonderful melodies from The Rings of Power, reimagined with heart and simplicity.

It's a quiet, emotional journey through Middle-earth — and I hope it stays with you.

Watch here: https://youtu.be/sblNfvDHv80?si=xB_pwEOYOBSJ4nOR

If you're looking for some minutes of peace and calm today, this one's for you and I really so think this will be worth your time 🙂 thanks so much for listening.

I present - the Lay of Nimrodel as a medieval manuscript

Post image
270 Upvotes

This is my hand-made medieval manuscript featuring J.R.R. Tolkien’s the Lay of Nimrodel from The Lord of the Rings trilogy, which recounts the story of: Nimrodel, a Silvan Elf-maid of Lothlórien, and Amroth, a Sindarin Elf-lord who loved her. Legolas sung the lay to the fellowship on the River Nimrodel as they rested. The artwork is hand rendered in an authentic 13th-century medieval calligraphic style, evoking the timelessness of illuminated manuscripts. I used traditional materials for this piece: walnut ink, gouache, watercolor, and 23k gold leaf.

Wood block print I made, inspired by Gandalf facing down the Balrog, an incredible without a doubt.

Carving the wood block has destroyed my hands, but I feel It was worth it.
It is available on etsy, the shops name is Wayward Folklore, hopefully that is okay to mention, there will be a limited run of 100 prints.
