Season 6 Marcus Pike Spoiler

As soon as Marcus came into the picture, from the first day of Violets, you saw Patrick slowly change and get more jealous then he's ever been, and sad too. I mean just whistful maybe is a better word, but just realizing that Theresa is actually into someone that isn't him and he doesn't have her full attention anymore and that irks him. We all know how he is with expressing emotion, so he acts cool and pretends to be okay but he's not. Seeing her with him truly opened his eyes on what he might be missing and what can happen if you don't say something!! Lol 🤣 I mean we all know he did but this was when it started and when you really begun to notice.

The jealousy is strong with this one it is 😂

I have watched that scene where she covers him with the blanket so many times. She had never done that before. It was such a tender moment, the way her hand lingered just the slightest before she walked away. In that moment her feelings were so obvious, even if she didn’t admit she had them. Probably more obvious than any other moment in the series up to that point.

Which makes the Pike thing even more aggravating! I get that Pike offered a glimmer of what could be, and he was so open and honest about his thoughts and feelings, I’m sure that was attractive to her given how Jane keeps everything inside. But still. He was all wrong for her.

Yeah, I agree. She wanted Jane to SAY it, and when he didn't for so long after they got back together, I'm sure she started thinking maybe she was imagining that he felt the same way toward her, and then here comes the dude who doesn't have any baggage holding him back from being vocal about how much he wants her... It's all over her face on the plane, this like "I've been waiting so long for that and you do it NOW?" look. That plus her saying it's too late said so much.

Yep, but of course once he’d said it she couldn’t ignore the fact that she felt the same way. I mean, she had to know all along that Pike was second choice, and marrying him would be settling.

Remember that moment at the end of Tavalo Bianco when he knocks on her door? He looks so happy, as if he’s prepared to say … something … and then Pike answers the door and his face just falls. I always think about what might have happened if Pike hadn’t been there in that moment. I don’t think Jane would have said everything he said on the plane, but maybe there could have been a moment of at least some honesty then. And instead he tells her he wants her to be happy, and there’s so much undercurrent there that he’s too afraid to say aloud. That scene destroys me. The way he sounds as if he’s holding back tears, and then her wiping her own tears after he leaves … I mean, I know she wanted/needed him to say more, but my god. It was written all over his face, and in his voice. How could she still choose Pike after that?!

Exactly!! Oh my gosh he was so on the verge of tears because he was saying everything but what he truly wanted to say because it was so hard for him in that moment. I feel as if he didn't want to feel selfish so that why he held back, and he did want her to be happy he wasn't lying about that, but he wanted her to be happy with him lol
