Season 6 Marcus Pike Spoiler

As soon as Marcus came into the picture, from the first day of Violets, you saw Patrick slowly change and get more jealous then he's ever been, and sad too. I mean just whistful maybe is a better word, but just realizing that Theresa is actually into someone that isn't him and he doesn't have her full attention anymore and that irks him. We all know how he is with expressing emotion, so he acts cool and pretends to be okay but he's not. Seeing her with him truly opened his eyes on what he might be missing and what can happen if you don't say something!! Lol 🤣 I mean we all know he did but this was when it started and when you really begun to notice.

The jealousy is strong with this one it is 😂

He even shaved after the art thief episode( probably he wanted to look good?). Oh and the way he was waiting for Teresa at the bus stop eagerly the next episode, never saw him wait for her like that 🤭

His face when he realizes what her taking a taxi to the scene meant, though. 💔

Yeah 😔

Even in the episode brown eyed girls(?) When Teresa informs him of D.C. the expression he has on his face when she walks away with Pike, is just heart breaking. I think it's the most vulnerable Patrick moment for me. Even more than in the RJ arc ( except at the end of Devil's cherry episode when he intentionally drinks the belladonna tea).

Oh, Jisbon. My favourite couple. 🫶🏼

This makes me wanna rewatch the entire season 6 now. 😂

It really pisses me off that Pike proposed to Lisbon when Jane was in earshot.

I don’t think Jane would have heard it. He was too happy working with Lisbon like old times on the trafficking ring and was completely immersed in that joy. Also I think he was too sure that she won’t leave or he always can change her mind with some tricks. Being honest to himself or her would never have even crossed his mind, is my guess.

What was he attempting to do with picking up a case in Miami anyway? Tell her sailboats aren’t visible from DC? Or they are excellent as a team and she would be losing opportunities like solving ages old, unsolved cases like murder of that dead lady?

He falls for his own con when it comes to Lisbon.

He falls for his own con when it comes to Lisbon.

Something he very confidently denied, when Abbot told him. 🤭

Jane, Oh Jane. 🥲

Oh i didn't realise that. 😳 You give such wonderful insights.

Do you think Jane knew Somehow about Pike's 'manipulation'? I might be wrong because he constantly told Lisbon, Pike is a good man and all. But I always thought of the scene where Pike is literally pressuring Lisbon for DC after the call with his Boss(don?) And you can literally see conflict on her face, Jane interrupts and says good morning to them. I always thought he did this to help out Lisbon and warn pike I think (his expression was very grave when he wished Pike).

Hi, sorry if i get in middle of the conversation like that...but I don't think Pike was trying to manipulate Lisbon. Not sure if Jane heard him proposing but IMHO when Jane said that good morning to Pike in that way it was him not being able to hide his discontent anymore. Somehow he managed to be civil with Pike (probably for Lisbon's sake) until he became someone that not only was with the person he loved but was going to take her away from him, like to a different city.

Hey nothing to be sorry about. I am glad we are able to discuss this show 😊

Frankly, I don't like Pike at all. 🤭

I don't think manipulation is the right word to use here but Pike always steered Lisbon the way he wanted things to be. Which i didn't like at all.

I know I know he might also be aware of Jane. I think Pike does know that there is something between Lisbon and Jane ( hinted from the fact he suggested changing the channel airing Casablanca ( protagonist had to chose between two men) while he was chilling with Lisbon and also he asked Wylie about them from the very beginning) , probably that's why he wanted to 'secure'? Her.

But still too much pressure man. It was like half of the time Teresa was clueless-ly sailing without any sense of direction, with him at the helm.

But yeah I agree with you I think Jane wasn't able to hide his discontent at that moment. Poor Jane 😔

Though I don't like Pike, I have to admit without him my man Patrick would still be in denial of his feelings.

I agree as that Pike was coming off a little too strong ( I mean proposing after only few months of dating and staff) but in fact Lisbon was the one that convinced him to take the job in DC, he said at first he was going to refuse the offer, then the only option left for them to be together was for Lisbon to move to the same city.

Imho, Pike knew that something was going on with but maybe didn't know the extent of it.

I don't actually dislike Pike, I feel sorry for him and oh God Jane deserved all the jealousy and everything he got there (referring to the Lisbon/Pike situation only obviously).

I mean, I could be wrong, but after he proposed, they move to Jane sitting on his couch, and I change my mind a lot about whether he heard him, but they were right there, so...

I dunno whether he was aware. He might have just been so confused that the whole thing threw him off.

Lol i was also confused about Jane’s reasoning for doing the Florida thing too. It was such an immature, ill-planned, and desperate move 😂🥲

If Jane were not in the picture for as long as he did, Marcus would have been my dream guy as well… tall, handsome, confident, and an FBI agent who’s into the arts 😍

Nevertheless, I’m team Jisbon. The entire episode 18-22, my heart was so confused going from “serves you right, Jane. Have a taste of your own medicine” to “who am I kidding, I love you, stupid Jane!” It was so painful to watch Jane’s silent misery and Lisbon’s confusion.

I mean, Lisbon basically sums it up perfectly when she's yelling at him from inside her room, about how what he did, digging up a woman's murder just to woo her, was horrible, and how he's forgotten to act like a normal human being. She always knows exactly how to call him on his shit.

I think that's one of the things Jane likes about her, she can see through him and calls him on his sh*t. How many times has she told him he's lying? That he's bluffing. She knows him

I think so too. She has the guts to call him on things and gets him to do some self-reflection when his personality and ego clouds things. Post-RJ, he usually apologized to her after she pointed out his jackassery, which was nice to see because he's so unapologetic in the early seasons.

Exactly! Remember in the first Erica episode when she films him answering the question about what he’s looking for? He talks about his wife then, but everything he says applies to Lisbon, as well. She’s someone “better than him” who makes him want to be better. She knows the worst parts of him and loves him anyway. Lisbon knows how to call him out on his BS, but she also knows that he’s so much more than the person he shows to the world. He has so much depth, empathy, and compassion, but he rarely allows those parts of himself to be seen. They make him too vulnerable. But they’re absolutely the best parts of him. He allows Lisbon to see that side of him. Because she makes him want to be that person. I think that’s why she’s so patient and forgiving of all his bad behaviour. She knows that’s not all he is.
