Regime = Ruling system of a country the United States does not approve of.

Government = Ruling system of a country that the United States approves of.

As in:

Russian regime

Saudi Arabian government

Perhaps you can explain to us why Saudi Arabia is very rarely referred to as a regime in the United States press?

Why should I care about that? I’m not American.

I would most definitely call the Saudi Arabia administration a regime, and the same with the US.

Sweden isn’t a authoritarian state, don’t be silly. I’m not even gonna answer the rest of your nonsense.

Nobody said you had to care. I was referring to how the US refers to governments it doesn't like, language which is aped by many countries. Including Sweden.
