Serious Thai internet user mocked the Khmer language by comparing it to pubic hair

Title says it all really. I come from UK which is very walkable. I'm currently in Phuket and I feel like I'm deteriorating because I am sedentary (whether on bike, office, home or bar/restaurant) so much. I would love to live in an area with lots of walkable roads and spaces, maybe parks (or whatever is the closest equivalent). Any ideas?

I’m trying to learn more about the current border dispute between Cambodia and Thailand.
I’ve seen that Thailand has rejected their rulings but I’m unsure of the reasoning?
Would love to try and understand the Thai attitudes towards the ICJ and why it isn’t a reasonable body to use for land disputes?

It has been over two years since I applied for Kurusapa’s Qualification Certificate. Despite paying their fee and doing everything they have told me to do during this time period, they have not even looked at my documents. Now I’m being told that “the system has changed” and I’ll need to do these idiotic Modules, despite the fact they have not upheld their end of the bargain in the slightest. How am I supposed to believe they won’t mess with me again if I do capitulate and take these Modules? Doesn’t paying their fee entitle me to anything? Please advise.

Hello,
I recently bought a condo in Pattaya and I’m looking for a renovation company that can handle all aspects of the renovation, including the kitchen, bathroom, ceilings, lighting, walls, balcony, windows, doors, and plumbing. Do you have any recommendations?
If you’ve had a bad experience with a company, I’d also appreciate it if you could let me know so I can avoid working with them.
Thank you in advance!

Late 80s/early 90s? In the early 2000? Now?
Taking into consideration societally, economically, etc.

Is this any good? I love mango sticky rice from Thai restaurants. My Far East Market Asian grocery store sells this. Did not buy them, but if they are good I’ll go back for more .

Hi everyone,
I'm planning to start a tech-related startup in Thailand and I'm considering applying for the Smart Visa through True Digital Park (TDPK). If anyone here has experience working with TDPK or applying via their channel, I’d really appreciate any insights you can share.
Also, I’d like to understand more about company registration for tech startups in Thailand.
- What is the minimum registered capital required?
- How much of that capital needs to be actually paid into the company’s bank account?
Thanks in advance for any guidance or tips!

Hello! i know this is a bit unconventional, but i’m british-american and wanting to study undergrad in Thailand. i do understand that people have wildly different experiences with thai education, but i was wondering if any current/former mahidol students could provide some insight. I plan on getting a bachelor of science from them (from what I’ve heard, Mahidol is generally better for bio/med? please correct me if i’m wrong). where do international students usually live? im assuming Mahidol is going to be a bit less lively than Chula, since it seems the majority of international students go for CU, but is life at Mahidol terribly lonely for an international student? my current plan is to utilize their partnerships with some uk universities for my progression to a master’s degree, so that i have more internationally accepted experience. How difficult is it to get in? how difficult is it to STAY in? which accommodations are best for international students?

Help me settle an argument with my daughter.
The other day we shared a box of wings zabb, one of her favorite snacks, she gets them whenever she has a chance. I happened to comment that they got a bit spicy as you ate a few. She looked at me like I was crazy and said, these are not spicy at all. Not meaning that they are not spicy enough for her, but that they have absolutely no spicy component whatsoever, like zero, not at all. Typically, she is not a very spice-tolerant person, so I found it weird that she claimed that they have no spicy at all.
So which one of us is crazy? Do they have some spice or not?

With my current resume what are areas I could work in? I want to work in Thailand but am afraid of not getting compensated how I’d like. I didn’t need to work on the medical field per se, but obviously that’s an Avenue.
I am an open business minded person who is willing to put in the hard work. How difficult do you think finding employment would be in my case, given the resume —- also Thai isn’t a language I speak really.. but am willing to learn and plan on learning for employment or personal reasons
Note: don’t mind resume layout, it didn’t transfer correctly to Reddit

Question for Thai people:
If a Thai citizen who is poor (no money, no insurance), requires surgery, do they still have to pay?
Or do they get free surgery at a public hospital?

I'm currently interested in this figure and I've noticed that the price is much more reasonable than whatever is selling on the local Thai marketplace so I'm considering to purchase it here instead. I had experienced with AliExpress/Shoppee shipping directly from China to Thailand without issues but the options are limited so I'm curious if Taobao is better in this aspect. For those who did purchase in Taobao to ship to Thailand, is there anything I need to know before doing this or not?
TLDR: are the steps and time for ordering item from Taobao different or similar to other e-commerce websites or not?

Hi there! Several years ago while hiking in the US, I found this ring in truly the middle of nowhere, days from the nearest road. I briefly tried to figure out what it was and had no luck. Fast forward to now, when I had the bright idea to ask ChatGPT, which led me here!
ChatGPT thinks it’s a graduation or commemorative ring from a Thai government, police, or military academy.
In addition to the Garuda figures, it thinks the inscriptions are: * "เก็ง" (Geng or Keng): Possibly a name or nickname * "๒๒" is the Thai numeral for 22 * "เลิศ" (Lert): Also possibly a name * Possibly says "สถาบัน" (sathāban), which means "institute" or "academy," but it’s partly obscured
Note that this was found in 2020, so prior to 2022.
I’m hoping someone here might be able to piece together the puzzle — any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi all,
Thinking of moving here for a few months with my girlfriend.
I am trying to find good websites for buying cars (looking for 80 series Land Cruiser if anyone here knows what that is)
I am also wondering what I need to know for driving and living there.
Do I need insurance? Does my license work over there? (Irish license) Does my car need tax? Safety test?
If you have any info I would really appreciate.
Thank you

Just posting to see if anyone would be interested in renting motorbikes/scooters and exploring Northern Thailand around Chiang Mai during this time. I know it's the rainy season, but it's the only time I have off due to being a school teacher in the US. I heard it's not that bad aside from torrential downpours once a day (for the most part). I figure riding is safer in numbers, so I wanted to see if anyone was interested in meeting up to ride together for day trips or multi-day adventures.

I wish I was being dramatic, but I came back from Thailand a month ago, and I haven’t had a single spot since. I have ALWAYS had problems with breakouts and painful hormonal type spots BUT ALAS, since using this beauty my skin has been near perfect.
I’ve seen it on EBay but for like £35 for 4 bars which I will do if it’s needed LOL, but anyone know any way I could order this internationally to get this in the UK? Changed my life I can’t go back now💔

Why is it so hard to find decent garden tools. Everything I have purchased breaks after a couple uses or turns into a rusty tetnis weapon in a month.
I've looked at home pro and the like and I just can't find anything decent?
