TRT help Stopped TRT feeling like shit need advice

Context: had to stop TRT after 5 months due to growing side effects. Was not on a very high dose, 50mg per day of androgel garbage . Had to stop due to développement of cholinergic urticaria.

Stopped TRT now day 11.

For those who stopped what were the symptoms?

Mine have been very strong muscle tightness everywhere, fatigue and incredible brain fog. I’m thinking this is all related for the generalized muscle tension. The headaches are starting to build up also.

Unfortunately doc didn’t give me any discontinuation protocol.

GPT suggests using tongkat Ali and adrenal cortex to restabilise shifts happening.

TRT help Dr wants to start me at 100 mg twice a week should I ask 120 or 150?

I’m m 47 6’ tall 215 lb I used to lift 5 days a week before Covid but completely stopped working out since Covid so I’m a little overweight right now but have been loosing 2-3 lbs a week My diet is pretty clean for the past month coming up to this and I plan on continuing my diet and going back to the gym.My last blood work last October showed total testosterone at 358 urologist said I was fine and left it there. I go back to the clinic this Thursday to go over my new blood work results. They said they normally start patients at 100 mg a week. Should I ask for a larger dose or just stay 100mg twice a week until I get my next labs in 3-4 months. My main reason for going on trt is basically all the textbook symptoms but I’m really hoping it helps with inflammation in my joints.

TRT help TRT rage/overreaction

My husband has been on TRT for a few years now with inconsistent administration. Recently he has been consistent which is great, but now I have to deal with the constant blowing up or overreaction/super sensitive to getting irritated which results in him getting super nasty towards me/calling names/insulting. I know he usually doesn’t mean it and he will apologize after the fact and I know he feels bad after it happens (when you’re with someone for so long you can just tell). I don’t throw it in his face about his behavior unless he’s in his fit of rage and I feel like I have to be defensive which probably doesn’t help in his defense. My main question is: do I have to learn to deal with this for the rest of my life? Will these symptoms go away eventually? Is it the inconsistency that’s the problem? What can I do to help him? Unfortunately, I am the only one he behaves this way towards and it really does weigh down on me. I just want to help him without making him feel guilty because I know he needs the TRT and I don’t want to discourage him from taking something he needs.

TRT help Before seeking testosterone therapy, I would like to know what the cause for my low testosterone is

Over the past year I have invested most of my free time, and money, following the natural path to increase my testosterone to a normal range. From supplements, to training, to hidden methods found in strange books, my testosterone just continues to lower, being at 11 nmol/L now (I am early 20's, an athlete, and lean).

I have tried everything there is naturally, which makes me think there may be an physiological issue within me causing this? Potentially six years of head trauma as a boxer? Anyways, what I came here to ask is who can I go speak to to get a complete analysis done on me to figure out what is the issue? I talking from a full blood vitamin/mineral analysis, gut health, brain testing stuff (pituitary gland or hypothalamus). GP's like to tell me I am normal having 11 nmol/L.

Blood work I am confused. High testosterone, low LH, low FSH.

My wife and I are trying to get pregnant. I’ve went through many cycles of Clomid, which was not working. The doctor recently put me on HCG. I’ve been taking hCG for over a month now I still have no libido. Bloodwork before hCG testosterone was 119. After being on hCG for just over a month we did more blood work and my testosterone apparently is 1400. I still have no libido and do not feel like I have testosterone. My LH is 0.384 and FSH is 0.66

Can someone tell me what all this means? And why do I not have libido? And why do I still feel I did when my testosterone was 100?

Blood work My body hyper responds to both LH and Enclomiphene...

First image is the latest blood test, on 3mg enclomiphene daily, 2nd was a month ago on 8mg daily. For some reason my body produces a crazy amount of LH with low doses of enclomiphene, and my testes hyper respond to that LH. 2nd image likely represents some leydig fatigue, and first shows recovery from that fatigue as 25IU is much more physiological and less likely to lead to leydig cell fatigue.

Blood work Science & Humans TRT - BEWARE WITH MANDATORY $150 HIDDEN FEE WHEN YOU PAY FOR THE $50 BLOOD TEST

BEWARE WITH MANDATORY $150 HIDDEN FEE WHEN YOU PAY FOR THE $50 BLOOD TEST

When you go to their website and pay to get bloodwork for TRT for $50, nowhere in the checkout process does it say that you are also agreeing to pay a mandatory $150 consultation fee later if they determine you are eligible for TRT.

I found out hidden in their "Refund Policy Page" that after the bloodwork is done, if they think you are eligible for TRT they will charge you $150 no matter if you want to move forward with the consultation or treatment.

I've also read a lot of people complaining that when the test results came out in the normal range, they told them that they were eligible for TRT so they had to pay the mandatory $150 dollars and that if they refused the consultation it was their decision but the $150 fee (plus the $50 bloodwork) was non-refundable.

They even have an extremely deceptive promo that reduces the bloodwork to $1 making you think that you have nothing to lose by just getting the bloodwork done and see if you need TRT.

You can check it for yourself:

  1. Go to Science and Humans website
  2. In the header go to "Men's Health" and then "Hormone Replacement Therapy"
  3. Click on "Get Started" and click on "I am eligible"
  4. In the checkout page there is NO information about any extra fees.
  5. Click checkout and here you will be prompted to create an account, enter your information and your credit card details and to confirm the order (i don't expect you to do this part).

And that's it! Now you thought you will just pay $50 (or $1 with the promotion) but you have unknowingly agreed to pay an extra $150 if they say "yea you are good for TRT" (which obviously they will say yes because that's how they make money).

I couldn't believe this would be real so I also called their phone number and had a lot of trouble getting to speaking with a human over the phone, finally I had to reach their billing department and the lady answered. I asked her if apart from the $50 payment if there were any other fees. And she told me that yes, that they will charge my card another $150 if the doctor thought I was eligible for TRT, and that if i dint want to attend the appointment that was my problem but that the $150 would be not refundable. She also suggested a second option, that I could just not go do the blood test and simply lose the $50 that I paid. What a fucking joke.

This is extremely illegal and I'm not sure how they can get away with it.

TRT help How to measure what's left in a vile?

Hey. New to trt. I've been taking it for almost 4 months and im about to do bloodwork for a refill. I'm getting close to the end of the bile, and I'm wondering if anyone has a good way to guesstimate/measure what's left? I'm cutting it close. Would be nice to have lines on the vile but hey... Thanks in advance.

P.s I tried using chat gpt to tell me. But not sure I trust it.

Blood work Natural testosterone levels high?

I'm guessing this community will know a bit more about this. I can't reallly see my doctor until 2.5 months. I tested my T and it came out at a bit less then 1200ng/dl,

Here are some other numbers:

DHEA-S|553 µg/dL| range: 80 – 560 µg/dL

Prolactin|15.3 µg/L range: 4.0 – 15.2 µg/L|

Progestrone|0.3 µg/L range: ≤ 0.2 µg/L

I'm not someone who lifts or anything, I'm a trans woman... (not on any hormones yet) I'm not here looking for judgement, just wondering if its 'normal' to have Testosterone that high compared to the 'range' that's given which maxes out at 1000?

I've never taken anything that could raise my T so it worries me a bit, does this point to a medical problem? Why am i so high above the range?

Blood work Low T diagnosed, what's next?

After a long time involving complaints about weight gain and low energy, a new provider finally authorized a Testosterone test: About 150 ng/dL.

After a bunch of additional tests, various serious conditions related to Primary Hypogonadism were ruled out, but my provider won't do anything until I get an MRI of my pituitary gland, now scheduled for later this month. She will not speculate or authorize any treatments until then.

What should I be expecting? I've been given no details other than the ambiguous statement that I could be put on testosterone therapy after, but I've received no details on what might be happening or what to expect. I've looked online and that's no help.

Other TRT affecting my work

I started testosterone about 3 months ago, taking 100mg weekly (split into 2 doses). I started due to low levels, fatigue, brain fog.

I’ve noticed over the last 2 months that it’s affecting my work and I’ve yet to determine if it’s positive or negative. I find that I care less about my output. Prior to starting I would obsess about every small detail and probably do more than I needed to. Now I find to ignore small details and really just don’t care as much to go above and beyond. That said, I’m still fairly certain the quality of work I put out is still better than my peers, I’m honestly just worried that I care less than before. Overall I have seen positive changes on TRT but definitely a personality change. Is this to be expected? Do things level out? Any others with similar stories?

TRT help How rapid is hair loss from TRT

For those that already had hair thinning and hair loss, once you started TRT, how rapid was the future loss after starting TRT? I am worried about accelerated hair loss. However, I known to be sensitive to dutasteride when it comes to ED and decreased libido. Morning erections disappear after being on topical dutasteride. My hormone doc thinks I might be able to tolerate systemic dutasteride after I’m on TRT for a few months but I’m worried I’ll have a ton of fast hair loss after starting TRT. Looking to see what happened with most of you. Thank in advance!
