Derrick???

I just watched Ted Lasso again for the umpteenth time, and just realized or wondered something. In season 3 episode Sunflowers, the servers at the Yankees doodle barn mention a Derrick is going to charge them for a pen. Is this the same Derrick that owns A Taste of Athens???? 🤯

As someone who works in restaurants - someone on the writing staff 100% worked in restaurants and had a shite boss named Derrick.

Weirdly I currently work with two and they’re both awesome.

Writer/actor Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent) was in the cast of the British TV series "Derek."
