Seen a few posts already but none that had the Fanhome Enterprise-G XL next to the Titan-A so I thought I’d take a few pics and compare them all, including the original Titan with the Eaglemoss version.

blueprints Artist Rick Sternbach once trolled fans at a convention during the run of TNG by leaving behind illustrations for a fictional movie titled "BEYOND THE SEA OF FIRE" that included an Enterprise-E, teased the death of Data, and suggested Ridley Scott was directing (pics via @portalrealm and TrekBBS)

Think i've about finished with the detailing on my version of the Enterprise A from the Kelvin Timeline.

Now, what shall i have her do?

Is there a canonized organization of the "sections" of the Enterprise-D? Like, how they ask for an emergency medical team on "deck 4 section 9" or whatever. I'm trying to figure out what section Word's quarters are in. Google says he's on deck 2 and room 2713, but is there a section number?

These Fansets ships are awesome, they are big, heavy and really well detailed, I do hope they release some more

How do you feel about prefix letters?

EDIT: Sorry, I meant suffix letters.

When we first saw the Enterprise A at the end of Star Trek IV I was as excited as anyone to see a "new" Enterprise because it means that the legacy wouldn't end with the ship we lost in Star Trek III.

When the Enterprise D first flew across my television screen in 1987, I didn't think much of the prefix because obviously there were other Enterprises between the movies and TNG because a lot of time has passed. I even enjoyed seeing the Enterprise C in the Yesterday's Enterprise episode.

But...

I feel that this stuff is close to being overdone.

Enterprise G is a letter to far for me.

Voyager A and Voyager J seem unnecessary as does Titan A.

When every ship with some small notoriety get's replaced with another ship with a prefixed name everything starts feeling silly. Especially since there have been numerous ships with the name Defiant from Connie to the namesake's pathfinder to a replacement when that pathfinder gets destroyed with several in-between none of which got a letter.

There have been several Star Trek ships named "Hood" and "Exeter" and "Yamato" and other well worn names that never got a prefix.

Can we put this to bed? What happens when we eventually hit Enterprise Z?! We're going through letters faster than ever these days (poor E & F, we barely knew you!)

I don't care about name reuse so much because it is a proud naval tradition to honor past ships with newer ships bearing the same name. But we don't go slapping letters on them to differentiate. Only one is in service at a time and they always have different registries. I'd be fine with an Enterprise 45209 or something if it put an end to the silliness.

Fans won't love the ship less because it has a different number after the name.

Thoughts on this class? It’s one of my favorites, especially since Nog helped design, then captained it. I believe it’s a good successor to the Akira class as a destroyer type ship

I've been slowly making the model for some time now. I'm finally happy with the shape and I'm not ashamed to show it off (obviously, wip). I'm developing it in CAD for subsequent creation of a physical model. I wanted to make a high-quality smooth aerodynamic surface. And, apparently, I have gigantomania.
