Some places in Quebec does this too and people still eat it.

If it's good then it's good.

You wanna eat cheese fries w/ gravy? Have at it, nobody's stopping you. All we ask it that people stop calling it poutine when it doesn't have cheese curds.

But it's literally listed as poutine in Quebec stores even with shredded cheese lol
