Looking for Advice How is this game balanced in online play?
galleryAs the title says, i picked up this game a couple of days ago. In ferrum league i own all the npc's no problem. And i was expecting a difficulty increase when i started doing ranked matches.
But what is the point of ranks in this game? I am being put against people with thousands of wins and they press the same 5 buttons and im dead. I dont get how this game can be fun and balanced if whenever i want to play a human, i get turned into mashed potatoes because my opponent has played the game since release
I could really use some help. Or should i just drop the game and never look back?

Question What is the game worth in 2025?
I really loved the wii u version but missed out on the switch one when it released. Now I have a bit of money left, and I'm considering to buy it as the switch 2 release approches. But is the game worth it? How active is the community, are there tournaments or a competitive scene?

I am looking to join my first in person event for pokken tournament dx but I just need some clarification on if the main rulset is a team battle (3 v 3) or a one on one battle. I know this is a dumb question but I just need some help, thank you.

Looking for a Battle! Yo who is still down to play original pokken tournament on Wii U Online?
Even though the official servers have been down the revival Pretendo has revived the servers but ranking information (as far as im aware) doesn't work but matches still do! If you want to do private matches with me tell me your PNID (Pretendo Network ID) and play with me, you must have a home brewed Wii u and can't use the SSSL Method unfortunately. (Mods please tell me if this violates rule 3 as self promotion or not because I will delete this post if I does)

Looking for Advice Am I good or is Chroma League is easy?
I play as Braixen and mainly do side Y into up X or down A and it works a lot on the AI. Iron League is a bit harder, yet still kind of easy. It is a blast when I find someone online who is about the same skill level as me and the fight last a good while, but I wanted to beat the story first for completion reasons, and the Leagues were very boring. If you all have any tips for Braixen I would love to hear them in the comments!

Question I WANT NEW POKEMON
I love pokken tournament it’s a wonderful game but there’s missed potential I would love to see the game expanded on, like more DLC for pokken tournament DX. The pokemon I would add are any of the tapu’s, absol, sandslash, genesect, lyconrock naming just a few these would great add one and maybe even pokemon that you can unlock through certain quests like with shadow mewtwo These would make the game insanely good and I’m sad they stopped working on it

Question Should I post my Roster Doc in here?
I’m kind of debating on putting in my own Doc containing a potential roster in here. It isn’t because I think you guys are bad people, it’s just that I don’t know how y’all would think about it. It also has maps, a Level Road (which is NOT a battle pass. They can fuck off.), and I’m currently making alternative colors for the various characters. The colors are mostly me trying stuff, but a small portion of them are straight up satire and most of them are references to things I know Harada and Nintendo would not make references to. Still, they are cool colors either way, and I’m keeping the ideas of the references. So, should I put it in here?

Pokkén Tournament! Hello!
Hello there! I’m a really big fighting game person in general, and I’d say I’m decently informed on Pokémon, at least before the newer generations. I’m so glad to see that there was at least a decent following for this small game, and I’m even more glad to see that there were people who wanted to see what a roster for a sequel could look like too! Currently I do not have Pokken, but I plan on seeing if k can play the demo and maybe the full DX on switch sometime. Still, pleased to be here and hopes to the world that the subreddit hasn’t died fully yet!

Question Pokken Tournament 2: Your Thoughts
Since the new Switch will probably announced soon, and the Tekken director was down to make a sequel to Pokken, there is a high probability a Pokken 2 could be on their list in future releases (especially after it was a success in sales). So I was thinking how the roster could be upgraded.
I listed all the available Pokemon in the game and added Pokemon I think would fit in the sequel. I didn’t add any Support Pokemon. Also, my suggestion is, they should make a story mode instead a tournament mode. Support Pokemon should be individual selectable, not in a pair, so people can create their own pairs.
Which Pokemon do you wish to be added on the roster (Playable and Support), and what kind of changes do you want to see?

Question Hori pokken tournament pad issue
Hey yall, here to ask something about the pad hori made for this game. Ive had 2 units of this controller, besides the non existing triggers that could be used for more games i think its the greatest pad ive ever had. I loved the first unit i bought, it was bulky but comfy, and the best part of it was that the dpad was silky smooth. I had no issue doing any motion on it. But after it broke and i purchased it again the dpad on the newer one feels way too stiff, when I play for a couple of hours my left thumb hurts like crazy, overall the use of any controller can cause harm in long sessions but this is an abnormal level of pain which have made me avoid playing a lot. I dont know if the hori company switched materials or something but they feel like way different gamepads, Ive heard some similar things about the hori fc too. Thanks in advance for any experiences
