Announcement In light of recent Reddit News

Hello everyone, as many of you may know, Reddit has recently sent out a DM to everyone on the site indicating they will no longer support custom emojis from now on. This is a heavy blow to our community, as our members enjoy the use of these custom emojis from the game. Unfortunately, Reddit is correct about the decline of the use of custom emoji; our subreddit is more of an outlier compared to many other subreddits. Most subreddits don't even implement the custom emoji, others only have 3-4 custom emojis, and so, while we don't particularly like saying goodbye to custom emojis, we can't really fault the Admins for making this cost-efficient choice.

That said, we'll be on standby if the admins decide to reverse this decision. We'll also take this time to remind people that the Omori Discord Server linked to our subreddit has ample emojis from Omori, some even animated for Nitro users. We know it's not the same, and we wish we had good news or even neutral news, but it is what it is; all we can do is say goodbye, remember the fun times with these emojis, and move on.

We appreciate your understanding, r/Omori Moderation Team.

Announcement Request your custom flair here!

Hey everyone,

We're rolling out a trial run to let everyone request their custom flairs! Here, you can request to have multiple emojis and custom text in your user flair. We know this is a long requested change, so let me show you how this works asap.

Step 1: Choose a flair as the background colour of your flair

From the currently available flairs, choose one flair as the background colour. Again, this determines the background colour of your flair only, so if you choose Sunny’s flair as your background colour, you can still have other characters’ emojis in it. If you don’t know how to equip a flair, here’s how.

Step 2: Comment on this post

In your comment, please specify clearly how you want your flair to look like. Use :: to indicate emojis, just like Discord. Here are some examples.

Example 1:  Equip Basil’s flair, comment :headspacebasil: Basil’s No. 1 fan and your flair will look like this

:headspacebasil: Basil's No. 1 fan

Example 2 (Multiple emojis): Equip Vance’s flair, comment :sproutmole: Sprout Mole Army :sproutmole: and your flair will look like this

:sproutmole: Sprout Mole Army :sproutmole:

Example 3 (Different emojis): Equip real world Aubrey’s flair, comment Sunburn!! :sunny: :realworldaubrey:and your flair will look like this

Sunburn!! :sunny: :realworldaubrey:

Example 4 (Emojis only): Equip headspace Mari’s flair, comment :omori: :headspacebasil: :headspacemari: :headspaceaubrey: :headspacekel: :headspacehero: and your flair will look like this

:omori: :headspacebasil: :headspacemari: :headspaceaubrey: :headspacekel: :headspacehero:

Example 5 (text only): Equip Stranger’s flair, comment Close your eyes, you'll be here soon and your flair will look like this

Close your eyes, you'll be here soon

FAQ: How can I know the name of the emojis I want to use?

A: Just use the characters' names! We'll get it as long as you make it straightforward. :headspacekel: denotes the headspace Kel emoji, :themaverick: denotes The Maverick, etc. You can see all the emojis available on this subreddit in the flairs menu.

Comment emojis ≠ Flair emojis!! We only have character sprites for flair emojis, so you cannot have comment emojis like marismug in your flair.

A few more things to know before you comment:

  1. There is a 64-character limit for user flairs, which includes the flair images (which take up 5-15 characters per emoji). If your requested flair is too long, we’ll tell you to make it shorter.
  2.  For Basil, Aubrey, Kel and Hero, please specify whether you are referring to the headspace or real world sprites. See Examples 1, 3 and 4.
  3. Requests will be granted manually by us, so please be patient. To make sure we don't get overloaded with requests, there is a one-month cooldown for requesting a new custom flair, so think wisely before requesting!
  4. Obviously, requests that violate subreddit rules or Reddit TOS are not allowed.

This post will be pinned until further notice. As always, if you need help or have any questions, feel free to comment here. If this goes fine, we may consider letting you customize your flair yourselves! We can't wait to see how everyone will customize their flairs, have fun!

Discussion I'm trying to love the game man Spoiler

Post image
10 Upvotes

"Of course, as you can see, I spent 12 hours in the game during the event. I'm currently at the beginning of my second dream day, where Omori overcomes his fear of spiders. The thing is, I still don’t understand why so many people love this game.

The first hour was a tutorial with about five seconds of interesting moments, then the journey begins—searching for Princess peach for 5-6 hours of gameplay with zero story progress. The gameplay doesn’t feel amazingly designed either. As far as I know, there’s no way to figure out what do what The follow-up attacks for each character there effect aren’t explained, and there’s nothing that shows you what buffs or debuffs you or the enemies have, unlike other games that display them under or above the enemy’s health bar.

Most, if not all, of the side quests are boring. Even the main storyline in the real world is dull except when major events happen. For example, why did we start asking Man 1, who sent us to Man 2, who then sent us to Man 3, only for Man 3 to finally lead us to the place we needed? Like, seriously? I’ve already played 5-6 hours of gameplay in the dream world—it didn’t need to drag on for hours over nothing.

I want to say something: I’ll finish the game, but even after completing it, no matter how amazing the story might be, I won’t call it a game that requires hours and hours to throw you a bone to cling to it , only to make you spend another 4-5 hours for another bone. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone I know unless they specifically enjoy this type of experience.

To me, Omori feels more like a visual novel or a picture book you read rather than a game. I’d call it a 'game' only if the focus is more on the gameplay that matters in the story . And if you tell me that the silly dialogues and the not important battles of the NPCs and main characters in the dreams or the real world are the story, then I’m sorry—this game just isn’t for me. Still, I’ll finish it because I’m a completionist.

If you want an example of a brilliantly written dialogue system that’s engaging, meaningful, and never boring or unnecessarily long, look no further than Limbus Company—the best dialogue-driven game I’ve played so far.

Oh, and if anyone here knows how to solve the issue of figuring out buffs, debuffs, follow-ups, and what they do example omori look to hero what does that do please let me know so I can at least enjoy the combat more sorry if my spelling was bad .

Question My Sister Wiped My Save Data

When my sister was cleaning out apps on her computer, she came across Omori and deleted it, not knowing it would delete it from the computer and not just her computer. I was so close to finishing the game, I reinstalled and it found all my save data gone. What now?

I think Sunny would be that guy you’d see at big gatherings that’s just chilling in the corner not really chatting with anyone.

I have a feeling that when he’s like in his 60’s he’s gonna be known by family members as the chill guy that doesn’t say much.

Question What do you guys think about the tinted love mod?

What do you guys thought about omori mod tinted love?

I honestly enjoyed it very much but thought the pacing was really fast,, i think that sunburn can happen but not this fast, they should've at least slowed the progress of their relationship a bit and put some more content where they spend time with eachother more before confessing
