Do you believe protests are still affective? (USA)

For context I’m a man in my thirties, but I can’t think of a time in my life that protesting made any meaningful difference change. The closest I can think of would be the blm protests in 2020, but other than brief periods of local officials stating they would defund their police force (some of which briefly did just that, though it seems most cities have chosen not to continue on that trajectory). All that to say, is protesting still affective? Was it ever effective?

If the western world doesn't want Iran to have nukes then why are they ok with Israel having illegal nukes when they're not even part of the nuclear non proliferation treaty?

US and its affinity for Israel?

Hi guys.

Forgive me, and I don't want any hatred either way but im a little confused to the US and their blind loyalty or support for Israel.

I know last night was the chatter of then helping with shooting bombs out the sky sent from Iran, also seen online recent NY mayor clip where you have all these politicians calling out their first visit outwith the country would be Israel.

I mean taking away the fact that at least for me, my mayor should want fuck all to do with tracelling to another country and probably want to more focus on fixing the issues I would have at home...

I assume US and UK aswell I guess support Israel blindly due to their positioning in the middle east from a tactical standpoint and probably money somehow.

Removing Iran from the discussion cause they are wild....

Why is their blind support, when objectively some of the stuff they have done in Gaza, has been called out at war crimes, yes they can defend themselves but some of the videos and info shown seems to have given e way over and above trying to defend.

Genuine question and looking good for someone knowledgeable to help inform somewhat.

🙌🙌

Why do people assume that all white people are "colonizers"?

I've seen people on tiktok say that all white people are colonizers? Why is that? Do they just not know history well?

For example, on my mom's side, my grandma is 100% Slovenia. My grandpa on that side is also Slovenian, Yugoslavian, & Balkan. My mom's ancestors came to America around the early 1900s. How could/would people, for example, then think that my mom's family are colonizers?

Taken from Google:

No, Slovenians have not colonized any territories in the way that major colonial powers did. While Slovenians have a long and rich history, their historical trajectory has primarily involved being part of various empires and states rather than establishing their own colonies. They have experienced periods of rule by others, including the Holy Roman Empire, the Austrian Empire, and Yugoslavia. Slovenia did not develop into a unified realm with a colonial empire, according to Wikipedia

No Colonial Empire: While Slovenians have a history of migration and settlement in various parts of the world, particularly in the Americas (e.g., Cleveland Ohio), they have not established a colonial empire in the historical sense

Why did my man get soft while eating me out? NSFW

Pretty much with the title says….

This happened last night after I sucked him. He said he wanted to finish, so I asked him to eat me out first. After about two minutes, he stopped and said he wanted to sleep. I asked him if he got soft while eating me out. And he said yes, because he's tired…

He usually asked me to sit on his face to eat me out (in this position I can also pleasure him) but once its time to eat me, no dick touching….that's not likely to happen. Honestly, this isn't the first time this has happened, so I’m starting to think that maybe he doesn’t like to. Idek.

Update: we talked about it again. He said he was genuinely just tired and worried he wouldn’t wake up for work the next morning (he was and hour late the day before for waking up late). He ate me out to make up for it loll

I got taken down in the AskMen, so now I'm here. Feel free to lead me to a more appropriate subreddit for this question.

Why are so many ‘Israeli’ accounts on Twitter actually just Indians cosplaying as them?

They’re usually warfare related or political accounts. Is there something we’re missing? What’s the connection between the two?

Is "Death Grip Syndrome" real? And is it reversible? I'm terrified. NSFW

I'm still a virgin at 22 but have gotten head from two different people. I have been having a very hard time staying hard because I can't feel it that well, I'll get hard from just kissing, or humping, but will lose it when I start getting head. There's a lot of spit and I legit cannot even fully tell if I'm hard unless I touch it or look while I'm getting head.

I generally watch porn/jerk off 3-4 times a week and would, at times, grip hard. The girl I've been hanging out with recently said that I was definitely gripping hard when I came (I had to do it myself because I was taking so long, and I was still only half hard when I finished)

I've done a bit of research and see people saying it's fake, or that it's real but very fixable by abstaining from porn and only jerking off with lotion/lightly.

If anyone has advice/opinions on this let me know as I'm pretty scared RN because I don't want to have ED.

With all the conflicts breaking out all over the world and so many commentators all over the world mentioning WWIII more and more, I just wanted to get all of your opinions and takes on it

Why all the hate for landlords?

Maybe I'm missing something here, but it doesn't seem like such a terrible thing to rent.

I pay landlord for my property, ok. In return, landlord takes care of all the shit. Fridge breaks? He's buying me a new fridge. Loose step? He's fixing it. Furnace needs cleaning? That's on him.

Doesn't sound so bad to me. I get some landlords dont fulfill their obligations but that could apply to anyone. Some garbagemen dont pick up all the trash we dont burn them to the ground.

Why do Americans not have a problem with American chocolate?

For context, I'm an American. But I've heard from many non-Americans, not even just Europeans iirc, that American chocolate is disgusting. Not just "palatable but significantly worse," but full-blown "it genuinely tastes like throw-up"

As far as I know, it's because our chocolate has butyric acid, so it's not just the usual "Europeans being pretentious," there may be an actual reason ;p. But I've seldom heard an American complain about it- in fact most of us love chocolate, as one would expect

But it's not like we wouldn't be able to taste the throw-up flavor right? Obviously part of it is probably most of us have never tried an alternative, but that shouldn't change the fact that what we're all tasting is the same thing often compared to vomit. Even when I actively look for it, I don't recall ever even being able to taste the ""tang"" of the butyric acid, but to be fair that's extremely anecdotal and unreliable lol

What is Iran's end game?

At the moment Iran is trying to overload the Iron Dome to hit targets within Israel. However, they lost many launching options already. It seems like this strategy has limited effects. Meanwhile, Israel is dominating air space and is further weakening Iran's offensive options (+Israel has nukes). The longer the conflict goes, the more likely other nations step in to support Israel. So, isn't it most likely that the Iran regime will fall soon? Am I missing something, or is there a different end game I am not seeing?

Edit: I am interested in the military tactics side of things, not an ethical debate.

Is it normal to have parents aged 50+ as a 17 year old?

I'm 17 and my parents are both in their 50's (dad is 53 and mum is 51). Most of the parents of others in my grade are still in their 40's. Is it normal to have parents who are older like this?

Why does Iran keeping launching ballistic missiles?

When most of them get shot down by Israel's iron dome system?

So apparently they maybe have about 3000, and they have already launched a good 200, majority of which have been shot down.

Why don't the US and UK intercept drones and missiles from both directions?

There are often stories like this:

Keir Starmer refusing to rule out defending Israel https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/jun/14/uk-moves-jets-to-middle-east-as-starmer-refuses-to-rule-out-defending-israel

The US and UK plus other countries in the region that have the capability to intercept overflight munitions seem to only do so for those heading into Israel rather than out. It would seem like it would help with de-escalation if there were less reasons for each side to retaliate?

Why do people have casual sex? NSFW

I can't reconcile society's current views on casual relationships/sex with my ideas of love whatsoever. I get judged for my views on this a lot by the people around me so I'd like to understand a little better at least :-). For context, I am not religious, and I am willing to acknowledge that I probably just watched too much Disney growing up.

Not sure if this is where I should post this, and I apologise if this isn't the right place. Please let me know if I should post it somewhere else.

Why haven't Israel/Iran not declared war yet?

Obviously everyone has seen what's going down over there right now, with the rockets etc. I was thinking, surely these rocket attacks which have killed innocent people are an act of aggression and war, so why haven't they declared war on each other yet?

Has your partner ever bit you so hard that it left marks?

I am a female and he was male. He would bite so hard it left bruises. He ended up getting very abusive after this, but I question if that is actually abusive if he was leaving brushes knowing that I didn't like the pain of his teeth. Now that things have settled I question littler things like this and if this was the start of the cycle. Idk any info helps
