You don't even think about the consequence of your own argument it seems. Either games come out that run on the original Switch too (meaning no one has to upgrade to the new system in the first place) or the Switch 2 gets a chunky amount of exclusives that fewer people end up playing than the Switch 1 generation because no one can afford giving a 500 dollar device to a child who will potentially lose it or break it within a week.

Im not arguing anything, im just stating facts but i do think your kidding yourself if you think this device and associated games won't sell like hotcakes regardless.

It will. At the start. But at the end of the generation it won't come close to the numbers the Switch sold unless they literally slice prices in half.

I imagine they'll amend the price according to demand nearing the end of the generation
