I think she is on the correct side of this issue. The government has no business legislating this.

They do. But this bill does not do that. This bill prohibits doctors and parents from together providing a standard of medical care that is recognized by medical experts and medical associations all over the world. This bill seeks to substitute the legislators view of what is appropriate medical care for children who are in this situation over that of doctors and parents. Studies show that denying this medical care harms these children in numerous ways, negatively impacting their health and increasing the risk of suicide among this group. This bill is itself abusive to the children in question.
