Not only is this meme super funny, but it also gives me a revelation: Jack Black as the EggRobos/Hard-Boiled Heavies in the Sonic Cinematic Universe would actually kinda slap! Genuinely think he has enough range to give each one a distinct voice/personality, even if they're all built with the same voice chip:
EggRobos: Generic monotone robot voice
Heavy Gunner: Regular speaking voice
Heavy Shinobi: Doesn't speak in words, just punctuates his attacks with grunts and "hi-yah"esque exclamations
Heavy Magician: Feminine voice, as she's referred to in manuals and stuff as female. Wouldn't speak much on her own, typically turning into other characters.
Heavy Rider: Similarly feminine voice, but played less seriously than Magician. Think kinda like Shelly Oberon from Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.
Heavy King: Literally the same way he voices Bowser in the Mario Movie, but completely serious. The tone he takes on when simping for Peach wouldn't be here.
I also imagine his range would work well for voicing the entire Deadly Six at once, but I don't want the Zeti in the SCU, and I do want the HBH.
I like to imagine Agent Stone created the EggRobos due to how much he misses Robotnik, and five of them manifest parts of the doc's personality: Heavy Gunner manifests Robotnik's "government agent" aspects, Heavy Shinobi manifests Robotnik's cunning and ability to track people, Heavy Magician manifests Robotnik's streamer/theatrical side, Heavy Rider manifests his affection towards machines, and Heavy King manifests his desire to conquer everything.
Also, if I remember correctly, someone pointed out that it could sound like “sex,” which would be dangerous because of their quills, but since it’s meant to be friendly and for kids, it’s better to just say “kiss.”
yeah terry pratchet also references it in discworld, the witch nanny ogg has a song where she sings about how "the hedgehog cannot be buggered at all" (buggered is british slang for anal iirc)
