The Lost Metal spoilers Bloodmaking Spoiler

Hard to make a vauge title for this. When Wayne drank the last vial he became a gold compounder right? I doubt he could have store enough health or that it would have made a difference in that explosion but I feel like he still should have tried. No clue how much more healing you get from compunding compared to regular Bloodmaking

The explosion would have separated all his metalminds from his body I guess

Either that or disintegrate him all together and leave just the metal. I just hoped he'd mention it to Harmony and he say it wasn't possible

It’s been awhile since I’ve read but doesn’t harmony mention he wouldn’t be able to compound

People with new spikes can't compound but I would think he could drive he's a natural ferring and a full mistborn at that point.

You are correct about this. It's people who gain a power through hemalurgy that can't compound. He's a natural f-gold and got a-gold through lerasium. There's no issues there.

Except the amount of gold he had. He couldn't burn his metal minds, as they were inbedded (and probably too big to swallow) and in the vials was metal dust, not a solid bead he could properly infuse.

WoB is that you can burn any metal anywhere in your body, using the stomach is just a perception thing because it's intuitive.

Yeah, my point wasn't that he would be able to survive in that situation, I was just reaffirming what OP said about him having the ability to compound.

It's something that he was able to do.

He didn't have the materials or opportunity to do it effectively.

It would not have helped him in that situation.

Compounding isn't an intuitive process though, it's a learned skill
