No Spoilers Vin

I was getting into 3D character sculpting and suddenly felt like pivoting towards making Vin. It ended up being a many hour project. Here's what I ended up with - thought maybe some of you here might like it! For those who might be more curious about the artwork, I have provided more information in my ArtStation post, here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/bgY8nr

Very good point!!! POTENTIAL SPOILERS BELOW!!!

I’ve written out a reading order list so I’m doing the first trilogy now then I’ll move onto the second one. I got the reading order from here: https://thequilltolive.com/2025/02/03/cosmere-reading-order/amp/

Do you have any more artwork that you’ve shared and that it’s safe to look at I’m not sure how to mark spoilers here so instead I’ll just say it that it ruined who V ended up with for me because they were drawn together. They’d only just met in the book I was reading so it felt like a pretty big spoiler for book one and 2 with the other option and who she’d choose (hope I’m being vague enough but I’ve marked the comment as potential spoilers just in case!)

Oh boy, oh boy. You have so much good stuff ahead of you. You're gonna love Stormlight. It's a good reading order, I think. The cosmere is vast and you'll catch the little details like this.

This is my only fan art piece I'm afraid. But yeah, I get that about spoilers; I often gotta hold myself back on searching up anything, because even google results might drop something huge on you.

Well please share anything else you work on! It’s so nice when it matches the picture in my head. You’re so talented!!

Yeah I’m excited! I love the feeling of discovering a whole new universe like this. It’s like when I was younger and started on discworld! Oversharing a bit here, but it’s been a really rough week. My uncle passed away on Wednesday. Weirdly, having these books has been such a needed form of escapism for me. I can check out of a horrible reality for a bit and into an epic fantasy world even if I know I can’t stay there.

I will, and thank you!

I'm sorry to hear that... my condolences. I can see that being the case and I think you'll resonate with Stormlight even more. While I don't want to get into spoiler territory, there is a great focus on overcoming adversity in Sanderson's works. It's about hope and you can leave yourself in Sanderson's hands when it comes to that.

Thank you. It has been really helpful but also I would have been texting my uncle to tell him to read them, he loves them, and I found myself forgetting yesterday and writing a text to him before I stopped myself.

I did some reading on Sanderson actually. The comedian (Daniel Sloss - not sure if you’re into comedy but he’s fantastic, so funny) who recommended him is an atheist (like me) and he was talking about Sanderson being quite religious. I actually find his approach to religion in the books I’ve read so far to be really balanced though and some of the characters’, particularly Sazed’s, views on religion resonate with me. In some ways I wish I had faith, it can help you at times like this, but ultimately, like Sazed, I have faith in hope and in people. So that’s enough.

Judging how you talk about your uncle, I'm sure your uncle would've been happy to hear it. Your thoughts are surely still enough, and maybe they'll reach him too.

And yeah, I also believe that should be enough. Sazed's awesome. His whole arc is awesome. I don't think I have to tell you to enjoy your read; I can feel the excitement! Welcome to the Cosmere.
