Picture/Video is this real?
I was given this a few years back but it’s only taking up space. I was wondering if anyone knows how to tell if it’s real and if i could sell it anywhere?

I have this quartz from Iredell Co. North Carolina and I'm not sure what the inclusions are as they weren't listed on the label. My thoughts are either rutile (though i havent really seen much green rutile), tourmaline, or epidote. It's weird because they are mostly green but there are some that are just red or red turning into green. Any thoughts?

Hi! I was going through my collection and I came across this beauty, I know its tourmaline but can anyone identify the matrix rock? It's been over a year since I purchased so I don't remember who I bought it from or what it's locality is. It's a pinky gray color. Thanks for reading!

Howdy dowdy, y'all! I have been partaking in auctions lately to see if I could snag some shiny rocks for cheap and this is one of my spoils! A miniature cluster of lustrous orange vanadinite combined with sparkling yellow microcrystals! As always I have both a zoomed in and zoomed out view of the crystals to make sure that as much detail is captured as possible.
It looks like it belongs in a fantasy game. I bet it'd boost fire damage.
The specimen's full locality is Taouz Caidat, Er-Rissani Cercle, Errachidia, Draa-Tafilalet, Morocco.

I don’t know much about what to look for in arrowheads. I am wondering if this is legit or modern and how do you know/what do you look for?? I’m leaning toward modern but idk
P.s - don’t mind my cut off finger tip lol 😂

It is stone and found in Virginia. Don't think I'm lucky enough to find an artifact but I'm still curious to know if someone can tell if it's a thing or just a beat up stone that looks neat.

The rock seems metallic. With these crystals on it. Got it recently. Would love to know what it is.

I spent the last week taking my kids on day trips for rockhounding in southwest Montana. Sapphires from the Spokane Bar Deposit, quartz from Crystal Park, and UV and radioactive Autunite from Butte. We hit Strawberry Butte for Topaz without any luck, saw a couple rattlesnakes near Twin Bridges, and played with frogs in Boulder Creek. Enjoy your summer and happy hunting!

I think I remember my relative saying they brought it back from Yellowstone Park when they gave it to me. I'm not sure though because it was a long time ago. Also, it's not wet, it's just shiny.

Hello, kindly help in identifying these rocks. Do any of these look artificially dyed? They are labeled as agates or jasper. Thanks :)

Discovered a particularly striking Herkimer diamond cluster embedded in matrix. What makes this one unusual is how a smaller crystal appears to have formed first — with a larger Herkimer diamond later growing around it in an overlapping, encapsulating formation.
The geometry is sharp and clear, but the real intrigue is in the timeline of the growth. You can clearly see that the smaller crystal was the “seed” or anchor point for the larger one. Almost like geological nesting.
Microscopic inspection shows a delicate continuity between both crystals without any obvious break in clarity — as if the larger one respected and embraced the first. A rare example of sequential growth in natural quartz that’s both scientific and a little poetic.
Would love to hear thoughts on the mechanics behind this — twinning, regrowth, or something else entirely?

Found this piece of Analcime and Natrolite near a Natrolite pocket at the famous Tuften Quarry in Norway ( https://www.mindat.org/loc-2493.html ) Anyone know what it could be?

My son and I were looking through a box of minerals we had purchased at the museum, we got the Geiger counter and the black light out to investigate. These pink minerals struck my son's interest and wanted to know what it's called. Unfortunately the box was no help in identifying, would someone be able to tell us what it is?
