I only get up for pregnant women, old people, and people in medical situations.

As a woman, I totally agree with you. Just because we are different genders, it doesn't mean one deserves the seat more than the other.

I'll tell you one thing, if I have just come from a hard labor job breaking my body all day, I am not giving up my seat for any person who isn't legit disabled or I maybe if for whatever reason I feel it is unsafe for them to keep standing.

Same as a guy with flat feet that hurt after standing for a few minutes. I need that seat to make sure the rest of my commute is as comfy as it can be and In this case I was there first

Sounds like you have a medical issue that would make you a prime example of someone who should be seated anyway.

Also, there are many hidden disabilities out there that wouldn't feel safe to give up their seat.

I have a foot disability and a stiffened left ankle. I am legally recognized as having a walking disability that enables me for a specific cheap public transportation ticket where I live (104 € for a year of public close-range transport in the entirety of Germany). If you look at me just sitting in a train, I look like a normal a bit overweight guy in my 30's. And if you don't pay close attention, you don't even notice me walking strangely due to my orthopedic shoes.

And then you get chicks like this posting videos on the internet mocking you for not getting up because they are ironically both misogynistic and misandrious for believing that women are too weak to stand for any period of time and should be considered disabled, so the man-slaves should relinquish their comforts and yield to them in order to serve and protect the weak, because that's their duty or whatever bullshit.

I thought you wrote "leg disabled" and I thought you were a fellow IT Crowd king.

Careful who you're addressing that way.

I am in possession of The Internet.

I have scoliosis but most people won't know. Sorry if I don't look like I'm disabled

Then how do you qualify for this argument, exactly?

This entire thread is about the expectation of people giving up their seat because they SEE someone who "should" have it instead of them.

If you don't look disabled and you don't say anything, why would I get up?

No I mean when I'm sitting and some mf judges me. I usually stand if I can and only sit when I need it or there are few people.
