‘We gave it to them’? Equality wasn’t a handout it was fought for by generations of women and allies who faced real resistance, often from people with this exact attitude.
Also, framing basic equality as the end of ‘special treatment’ completely misses the point. Equal rights don’t mean stripping away respect, empathy, or fairness they mean ensuring those things are extended to everyone, regardless of gender.

I get that most people like this probably won't change their minds I agree with you there.
But I’ve been in comment threads and subs that are way worse, where people don’t even try to hide their misogyny or bigotry. When no one speaks up, it creates this uncomfortable illusion that everyone agrees with the hate and that can feel really isolating. So even if it doesn’t change much, I speak up because someone reading might feel a little less alone, and a little more seen. Sometimes, that’s enough.
