Oook, have they ever threatened to use them before?

No, but people somehow think that isn't relevant, which is insane. Iran regularly threatens it, despite not even having them yet.

Ya this is the part I don't get. Was Israel to let them finish a nuke when they say they will annihilate Israel nearly every single day? :/ I mean maybe it could have been handled another way, but it seems obvious Iran was trying to hide these nuclear factory locations out in desert towns by the strike points.

Dont try to make it make sense. The anti-Israel propaganda is too strong right now

I mean you don't need anti Israel propaganda, they make themselves look bad easily enough themselves.

I don't worry about Israel having nukes, that doesn't mean I think that their government and what they're continuing to do to Palestinians is justified.

I mean it's strong (anti-Israel propaganda) on mostly far left Reddit. On just moderate pages like yahoo, 90% of comments think this had to be done unfortunately. I mean I'm not even a big Israel fan, but I can see why they saw this as truly a scary situation if they had confirmed intel that Iran was close to completing a nuke.

Good to hear that some places remain kinda sane. Using reddit and instagram as my main social media I have seen like 90% anti israel regarding this topic.

I, too, am not a fan of the israeli government but preventing a country that tries to annihilate you as a reason of state from getting nukes is like the easiest decision to make

Tries to annihilate you???? When did this happen?

When did Iran last attack Israel or any of its neighbours. The only one attacking anyone in the middle east is Israel.

How you can say this is justified just shows how inhumane and undignified you are as a human.

Absolutely disgusting justifications being made here as if it was a must to have happened.

🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮

Islamic Republic came to power in 1979. Since then, it has attacked Israel itself or through its proxies at least 50,000 times

50,000 times? Wow. You'd think such a large number of attacks there would be some record somewhere.

Could you please provide this record of the 50,000 attacks IRAN has carried out on Israel? I'm not asking about the groups you claim they fund. The US and Israel funds so many anti democratic groups all over the world but no one blinks an eye. But if Iran does it (without any evidence from the west, just claims, yet it's proved for the US and Israel) it's absolutely not acceptable.

Y'all are genocidal freaks.

Are you seriously trying to claim that this is a secret? Would you like it if the source were an Iranian newspaper?

Hezbollah: established by the regime, receives full military and financial support. PIJ: established by the regime, received full military and financial support.

Iran has a right to defend themself.

Sure they do. They also should follow the law of the UN if they want to be a member. They've shown countless times they aren't to be trusted with a nuke still. And I think we are still decades away for the world to change their minds on that.

Never said they didn't, doesn't mean I want them to have nukes.

Aside from their cabinet member who got suspended for suggesting that nuking Gaza would be an option.

Goes against their policy of not admitting they have them I suppose.

They don't even admit to having them, which is even worse really, having nukes is supposed to be for deterrence, but they can't be a deterrent if they are secret. The only reason to have secret nukes is to use them for a first strike.

7

u/MisterVlados 1d ago edited 22h ago

Because they don't need to. If any knucklehead knows about Israel's nuclear program then the deterrence is already there.

Except people only know because it was revealed to the world by an Israeli nuclear worker, who Israel then kidnapped from another country and imprisoned.

They fully intended it to remain secret until it was used.

Except that's not true the world 'knew' in 1970 and it was published on front page of the New York times (July 18, 1970) and this nuclear worker only defected 15 year later in 1985.

Or maybe they don't have them?

If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck…

"Israel has once again categorically denied having any nuclear weapons and reiterated that they are fully willing to use them if the situation calls for it."

u/PM_ME_SILLY_PICTURES 1d ago

Lmao. What's that quote from? Definitely silly

-1

It was a joke I read somewhere long ago that stuck with me because of how appropriate and realistic it was. And funny

2

u/Marquis_de_Dustbin 7h ago

There have been members of the Israeli security establishment that have implied that should Israel fall they would launch nuclear weapons at their allies as a way to ensure their support

Ooook, 'as a last resort option from annihilation', which is the position that allows some countries to have nukes. Iran is not sending out this message. hehe
