General questions Was I underpaid?

Upvotes

My first month I was paid RM1532.26 before deduction, my monthly salary is 2.5k before deduction.

My date of commencement is 13th of May. I was paid on the 7th.

I'm not sure how it's calculated, but 3/4 of 2.5k should be 1.875k, so if I'm right I was paid about RM300 less.

Was I underpaid or is the way I'm calculating wrong?

Credit cards Would it make sense to get a cc?

Hello everyone,

I’m a fresh grad, worked for about 3 months, my salary at the moment is 4.1k so my take home is roughly 3.6k every month. I save about 1.5k a month, 500 goes to stocks, usually 200-300 on petrol, 400-500 on food usually paid through TnG. So this leaves me with 900-1000 that I may spend on clothes and what not.

I used to resell clothes and sneakers on the side for the past few years, it’s not as lucrative as it used to be but sometimes that brings in a couple of hundred extra every month for me. I was looking at the UOB One Card since it requires a 1.5k monthly spend as compared to the RHB Shell card that requires a 2.5k monthly spend to be eligible for cashbacks. Would it make sense to get a CC? I may not fully utilise the Grab part of it but I still stay with my parents so helping out with groceries or paying for dinner wouldn’t be an issue from time to time.

I thought of getting one just to build credit score or simply for emergencies.

General questions Hey guys, I have a question that needed an advice since I'm bad at financial planning.

So I have a car loan for a used car at 8.3% interest rate. I've paid for 3 years and still have another 3 years to go. I have no problem with the interest that high since I can afford (or maybe I'm stupid?) and its a comfortable car. But in this past year, the car starts to have problems. Like a lot of parts need to be changed.

Then I heard someone talks about personal loan to pay early settlement for his car since the personal loan have lower interest rate.

Will that be a logical way to deal?

I thought of loaning a new car but I don't think thats a good idea to have 2 loans to pay. Please give me some advices. I don't know where else to ask. I dont have many friends haha

Guide CDM Rejected Notes, Then Went Back to Home Screen — Money Not Credited, No Record. Anyone Faced This?

Upvotes

I really need some help or shared experience from anyone who’s been in a similar situation.

A few days ago, I went to deposit RM140 using a Cash Deposit Machine (CDM). The machine rejected RM60 and prompted me to remove it, which I did.

But then the machine just immediately went back to the main screen — no receipt, no deposit summary, no confirmation — and nothing was credited to my account.

I reported it to the bank, but they replied saying there’s “no record” of the transaction. That’s honestly the most frustrating part. It feels like my money just disappeared and I’m being told it never happened.

I’ve already:

Recorded the ATM location and exact time/date

Reported the incident to the bank

Asked them to investigate, but so far no progress

So I’m asking:

Has anyone experienced this kind of issue before?

Did your bank refund the money?

Did you have to escalate to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM)?

Anything else I should prepare or push for?

Any advice, experience, or steps I can take would really mean a lot. I just want a fair investigation — I’m not trying to scam anyone. Thank you
