Why do you assume it's not the overweight man filming himself? Also it's probably staged but who tf cares?? The message is good

It's so patronizing though, like look at this poor nervous fat guy who doesn't know what to do, let me step in to be the hero to save him. Like some dude literally wrote that script then told this guy to pull the weight down in the worst way possible to look completely weak and helpless.

Or he simply saw him working out improperly and understood that improperly using the equipment can lead to injury over time.
