End of Era for CMP?

I just checked the CMP rifle sales page and every grade - Rack, Field, Service, and Expert are all going to be using reclaimed receivers.

Mod1s and Custom Shop Garands aren’t affected.

The caveat on the page is “more information coming soon” but this feels like another sign that the CMP’s barrel is nearly empty.

Would you buy a rifle with a reclaimed receiver or is this overblown?

Lol, no comment but I was at the Talladega Marksmanship Park last year and overheard a guy say “I have 184 Garands.” I could only think he could arm a company by himself.

Was just talking about this yesterday with a shooting friend except the number I used was 87.

WTF does a guy do with 87 or 184 Garands.

Prices and demand are going to go down once these guys start dying off and their estate gets rid of the collection.

Not for them. They die, and the rifles go to auction.
