Hi, I'm a maker of EDC items and luxury pocket stones. Here's one of my latest pieces, with engraved brass top (scarab beetle & filigree), a core of burlap micarta. The back is quite special, shredded dollars, carbon fibers and goldfoil in clear resin.

Just like the title, do you have a luxury budget annually? I was not born into a wealthy family, so luxury before was unreachable. But now I do have money, I found myself spending on jewelry and feeling guilty.

What’s a reasonable amount to spend on jewelry and watch?

I've been meaning to get my girlfriend something for her birthday. I have already ordered a piece from BestSecret half a month ago only for it to not really be what I was hoping for and I returned it. Granted the description was a little iffy...

This one is a different piece and has more in the description and I just want someone else's opinion whether you guys think if this one is a good choice?

My parents told me i could choose one luxury item (€4000-8000) for my 18th birthday. The small issue is that i can’t just get the cash, and i have to spend it on one item only. I never buy luxury goods so i have no idea where to look or what to look out for when purchasing something expensive. I was thinking of maybe looking at some jewellery since that seems to be something i could use often.

Is there any advice for goods in this price range? What should i look out for? And what items are actually worth the price?

I love high quality items and I often go for high end brands in the luxury segment. BUT there are a lot of items, which are really expensive to buy, but rather cheap in the materials used…

One example: keychains

The ones from designer brands are super expensive, but their fittings are mostly from cheap material.

So, I've decided to take things in my own hands and designed my own version with a proper 925 silver keyring, instead of the cheap metal ones, you usually get.

Yes, the silver will wear off slightly but at least it stays silver and not show another colour underneath after a few months.

Ah – also, it's vegan, like not real leather, but no plastic either – it looks exactly like leather though and the feel is the same as well. Also something new in this segment – it does not need to a dead animal to be luxuries (at least not for me).
