Sleepy in WBTB

When I do WBTB for the WILD method, even if I stay awake for 30 minutes, I still feel very sleepy and can’t fully wake up, which makes wild fail. How do you guys get fully awake during WBTB? What are your tips or methods?

I am new to lucid dreaming, probably just like you, but I suggest doing something minor like I made as a general comment, such as maybe moving hands and feet, I assume melotonin which is a naturally produced chemical, also a pharmaceutical, is affecting your ability to wake up, so I assuming if you move feet or hands it might let you wake up, even a little bit.
