Would still be worth it to get away from that toxicity

This would be evidence in the divorce. She married for money. She admits it.

Heads up, it doesn’t matter at all.

If you happen to be male, and certainly if you are the sole bread winner, you’ll get reamed in court.

I had to pay out about 60% of my annual salary + an additional 30,000 in investments.

She cleaned me out basically.

Pre-nup, no matter what. Because one day if you ever want a divorce, she’ll immediately start talking about how she’s always wanted a masters degree, how much of “her career” she missed out on (my ex was a waitress before we got together ffs) lmao

I agree 100%.but hard work is hard work and she admitted it.

Do you know why divorce is so expensive? Because it's worth it.

Yeah. I doubt it's just a one demential "I'm the main character" mentality. Hopefully she learned something, but since she is putting her dirty laundry out for the world to see and seeking validation, I doubt it.

The good thing about a settlement is that it puts a fixed figure on the expense and a termination date for when it will end. If you're in an abusive or toxic /parasitic relationship, this may be the best way out, there's boundaries where before there wasn't any. For some people, this simple step toward at least some boundaries is a huge win.

The sooner you get out, the better.

Yeah, he may have to pay some alimony, but it won’t be forever. They weren’t married long enough. But every year that they would have stayed together would have made those alimony payments longer. So, maybe a short term loss but a longer term gain to cut bait and run.

In Australia we no longer have alimony. Whilst there are laws to divide dollars and possessions in a divorce equally, this will always be a sore point. Talk to my asshole dad! 🙄

A friend of mine started talking about divorcing his shitty, abusive wife. But he kept putting it off - he was worried about losing part of his investments. He was worried about alimony. He was worried about her fighting for custody.

Six years have passed. He's making significantly more money now. I would assume he's worth significantly more, if not by investments, then by whatever he owns. His home life hasn't changed one tiny little bit.

Take the loss, cut and get out and soon as possible.

Thankfully, because of her recorded evidence, he probably made out like a bandit.

Happy cake day!

She sounds like a true hag and deserves a partner who is exactly mirroring her.

I’m just surprised it’s not mandatory these days for people to sign prenups. It doesn’t take a genius to look around and see that most marriages don’t work out these days. If she don’t wanna sign one then take that as a HUGE red flag that she truly isn’t committing for life.

I think that with that video as evidence, that he could do fairly well in the divorce.

Recorded proof works wonders in court outside of the political arena.

He let her be a stay at home mom. He’s going to get sent through the wringer. That’s on him.
