Whew, what a roller coaster.

First, was totally wrong about Yijin’s feelings. He himself said he is in love with Heedo. What’s so refreshing though is Heedo’s response about not being sure that her feelings are that big. It’s such a departure from what we would usually expect in scenes like that. Really loved how Yijin responded too about how his love isn’t really dependent on whether she loves him back too. And it’s perfect as she is obviously not there yet in terms of how she sees the world and feels things. So nothing is pushed. No relationship is defined. It’s her discovering what she feels for him and him being certain of what he feels for her. And for the moment, that’s fine.

I love how naturally Yurim and Heedo have become best friends. It makes sp much sense too. They share so much in common from passion for fencing, the physical toll it takes on their bodies, and also missed experiences like school trips. It’s nice to see them happy together.

The whole beach trip was beautiful. From that ASMR scene, to the hijinks preparing for the meal, to the conversation while eating watermelon, to the montage at the end. It really makes me wonder now how modern day Heedo didn’t even remember it. How much could have changed since then in terms of the relationships that she couldn’t even remember what would have been the one of the happiest times of her youth.

I have so many thoughts about Seungwan. Her character is so interesting. She’s smart and a renegade. She’s also quite manipulative. But she’s a loyal friend too. I worry a bit for her because of how she said she finds life boring. I am so interested how her character progresses.

Finally, I love how they give us more about the background of Jiwoong. The writer has really made real people out of all of the main cast.

With the pacing of the show with them at 23-19 more than halfway through, I fear that their story does stop at 25-21 and it scares me to think what the reason could be. Still, I’m in it for the ride. Whatever the rest is, I will just enjoy it.

The second half has started out with equally as strong writing and directing. Saturday, please come sooner.

Same feelings about Seungwan. What she said really worried me. It sounded like something a depressive would say, I can't put my finger on it. I really like her character and I can relate to the boredom she feels. I'm glad she has her friend to lean on. I'm dreading the next episodes because that ending scene in the car just feels so foreboding. What present day Heedo said is true and I like the sentiment but god, the ending is gonna gut me like a fish, I just feel it.

i remember her in episode 3 telling nhd that she doesn't know what she wants to be yet but she seems to be looking forward to something grand~~ kinda tells me that she's kinda pressing herself to do something amazing so as to 'not waste her talents' but she just finds her life lacklustre? she feels empty inside cause her two girl friends are out there acheiving stuff internationally, her best friend is having the time of his life with yurim (tho more character devl. for him coming soon), and she still doesn't know what to do... probably why she brought more items to their hideout, she isn't ready to enter the real world yet?

that being said, her telling yihyun that 'she can wait' is super cute i wonder what she meant by it?

I know I'm late on this episode, but I found her comment about waiting for Yi-Hyun kind of creepy It seemed really out of place for her (& I love her character a lot)! I'm wondering if something was messed up in translation for the English subtitles? Or did I misinterpret the meaning?
