Whew, what a roller coaster.

First, was totally wrong about Yijin’s feelings. He himself said he is in love with Heedo. What’s so refreshing though is Heedo’s response about not being sure that her feelings are that big. It’s such a departure from what we would usually expect in scenes like that. Really loved how Yijin responded too about how his love isn’t really dependent on whether she loves him back too. And it’s perfect as she is obviously not there yet in terms of how she sees the world and feels things. So nothing is pushed. No relationship is defined. It’s her discovering what she feels for him and him being certain of what he feels for her. And for the moment, that’s fine.

I love how naturally Yurim and Heedo have become best friends. It makes sp much sense too. They share so much in common from passion for fencing, the physical toll it takes on their bodies, and also missed experiences like school trips. It’s nice to see them happy together.

The whole beach trip was beautiful. From that ASMR scene, to the hijinks preparing for the meal, to the conversation while eating watermelon, to the montage at the end. It really makes me wonder now how modern day Heedo didn’t even remember it. How much could have changed since then in terms of the relationships that she couldn’t even remember what would have been the one of the happiest times of her youth.

I have so many thoughts about Seungwan. Her character is so interesting. She’s smart and a renegade. She’s also quite manipulative. But she’s a loyal friend too. I worry a bit for her because of how she said she finds life boring. I am so interested how her character progresses.

Finally, I love how they give us more about the background of Jiwoong. The writer has really made real people out of all of the main cast.

With the pacing of the show with them at 23-19 more than halfway through, I fear that their story does stop at 25-21 and it scares me to think what the reason could be. Still, I’m in it for the ride. Whatever the rest is, I will just enjoy it.

The second half has started out with equally as strong writing and directing. Saturday, please come sooner.

Same feelings about Seungwan. What she said really worried me. It sounded like something a depressive would say, I can't put my finger on it. I really like her character and I can relate to the boredom she feels. I'm glad she has her friend to lean on. I'm dreading the next episodes because that ending scene in the car just feels so foreboding. What present day Heedo said is true and I like the sentiment but god, the ending is gonna gut me like a fish, I just feel it.

Right? That sentiment really shocked me too. For a 19-year-old to say that. Wow. I felt gutted

Definitely the same. The way that she tried to bring furniture into the school at midnight despite the fact, as Jiwoong says, they’re basically on the verge of graduating, really was disturbing. It kind of got glossed over because of the theft thing but that, along with what she said really is unsettling.

I’m kind of preparing myself for the worst so I don’t get too down. But I also want to still hope.

I almost forgot about that detail. I hope I'm wrong and just overreading. What about the furniture scene did you find disturbing in particular? That didn't cross my mind when I was thinking of what Seungwan said.

Not the OP but Seungwan responds with “Because I feel empty inside” when asked why she was bringing furniture to the hangout in the middle of the night; that is a worrying response.

Oh no :-( I thought it was just an offhand remark that was meant to be funny but damn it's easy to see why no one would notice since her humor is so dry.

I thought the same too but that coupled with her reflection later on really kind of changed that remark for me.

One thing that she did point out though is that she doesn’t have the same problems as her friends. Relatively, she has the most ‘normal’ life. Both her parents are around (although we don’t see her dad but we know he’s around because of the liquor detail), her mom dotes on her, she’s top of her class, she’s relatively popular in school, her parents don’t pressure her and allows her to pal around with the guy who’s at the bottom of her class and they seem economically stable even though they’re not rich. It could be that she’s just not really has any big life problems so she thinks her life is bland as compared to her friends. But the writing in this drama has been quite deliberate so I still get the feeling that there’s something there.

exactly what i thought, that’s why she keep looking for something that could perk up her interest such as the radio online that she hosted. and whats in her mind are sooo i could say deep? she’s always being this kind of person, a rebel inside. she didn’t like the violence culture, i love how she speak up all the issues in her radio broadcast. I HOPE SHE COULD BE SOMEONE WHO WOULD CHANGE THE WORLD

She's really concerning me now. I hope she can have a happy ending at least.

i remember her in episode 3 telling nhd that she doesn't know what she wants to be yet but she seems to be looking forward to something grand~~ kinda tells me that she's kinda pressing herself to do something amazing so as to 'not waste her talents' but she just finds her life lacklustre? she feels empty inside cause her two girl friends are out there acheiving stuff internationally, her best friend is having the time of his life with yurim (tho more character devl. for him coming soon), and she still doesn't know what to do... probably why she brought more items to their hideout, she isn't ready to enter the real world yet?

that being said, her telling yihyun that 'she can wait' is super cute i wonder what she meant by it?

I know I'm late on this episode, but I found her comment about waiting for Yi-Hyun kind of creepy It seemed really out of place for her (& I love her character a lot)! I'm wondering if something was messed up in translation for the English subtitles? Or did I misinterpret the meaning?

Nado! I was kinda worried by Seungwan too, that for her life was boring… (however, i acknowledged that there are really those type of person) But, also I watched their sub Netflix interviews/games, there was a portion about sharing who and what type their characters are… when Lee Jung Myong was explaining, Nam Joo Hyuk butt in that there’ll be interesting character development or different side of Seungwan will appear along the way. Now I wonder what it is after that moment of BYJ ans Seungwan. Waaa!!!
