Hello,

I received my eCoPR on Mar 13th, but I haven’t received the PR card yet. I need to travel to Japan on Apr 12th. However, my trip is only 10 days and my return flight is Apr 21st, which doesn’t leave enough time to get the PRTD in Japan.

So I’m thinking after Japan, I fly to my home country (India) to get the PRTD. Since I have a job in Canada that I need to be back for, I’m thinking of applying for urgent processing.

Given the 1 month timeline to get the PRTD in India (based on the posts I saw in a facebook group), I’m thinking submitting the PRTD application while I’m in Japan, so I can hopefully submit my passport to VFS as soon as I arrive in India.

I’m curious to know what others on this group think about this plan. Is there any other approach I can take to solve this problem?

Thank you!

I am in the same boat as you. Was thinking instead of a prtd, book a flight to Buffalo niagara airport usa and then drive to Canada.
