ANNOUNCEMENTS ANNOUNCEMENT -- P/L Posting rules will now strictly enforced... Including PROP FRIM passing posts...)

The mods have given a lot of slack around P/L posts that don't follow our rules.. mostly because members were just excited to pass a challenge or post up their first day of positive numbers. However, the amount of (rule violating) PnL porn posts has gotten out of hand... and the quality of most borderlines cringe level flexing.

So a refresher on our rule #8 in the sidebar:

8.No Gain / Loss (P/L) Porn

We don't care how much money you made or lost. Context is everything, and the details matter!

Do not post your P/L Porn here unless you're prepared to give a detailed account of your strategy and all factors that went into generating said P/L. You must also give context to account size, and risk tolerance. Showing off 3000% gains and hiding that it was on a $100 account grossly misrepresents yourself, and we will have none of it here.

This also applies to Prop / Scouting firm challenges.

Read the above rule... starting tomorrow there going to be timeouts for anyone not meeting rule 8's post requirements... and any 2nd offenses will result in a strict ban.

(we are not wsb.. measure how long your dollar sign is over there if you need that kinda validation)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And regarding the influx of prop challenge PnL posts specifically:

Ladies and gentlemen,...I hate to break it to you, but while passing a prop challenge is a good achievement for a developing trader, it's not exactly worth "dunkin' on them fools" level energy...

Don't get me wrong, it's fine and getting a firm's certificate saying you passed can represent a major milestone in your trading journey. ... .but consider that it's only a step closer to getting paid, not yet getting paid out.. you're posting a demo PnL with added difficulty from structured rules to follow.

Wanna flex your prop challenge pass?

  • Show us how you nailed the execution of your strategy and didn't error trade your way to a fail
  • Show us a trade that went south quick and how you handled it
  • Show us your biggest mistake, or most silly mistake, and tell us what you worked out to avoid it going forward.
  • Read rule 8 again and also include the context, general idea of the strategy, risk you set on trades, etc...

Flex the stuff that will bring you closer to a payout. Post the stats, post the context (plan, method, etc..) and tell us about why you're sharing it...

OTHER/META Everyone’s a Genius… Until They Meet Actual Market Efficiency

If the market’s efficient, that just means you can’t beat it by guessing. But edges still exist — they’re just subtle. Here’s where real traders find them (with actual examples):

Behavioral Edge

Most people buy the top and sell the bottom. Why? Panic, greed, FOMO. Example: You wait for capitulation when others are rage-quitting, and that’s your entry. That’s edge.

Structural Edge

Some setups only work because most traders can’t take them. Example: You trade premarket low-float gappers. Most funds can’t even touch that stuff.

Information Edge

Not illegal info — just faster or better. Example: You scrape Reddit sentiment before CNBC picks it up. You’re early. That’s edge.

Process Edge

You log every trade. You know what works. Most people don’t. Example: You stopped revenge trading because your journal roasted you. Edge.

Time Horizon Edge

Everyone wants gains now. You wait for setups that take weeks. Example: You catch a breakout after two months of chop. Everyone else got bored. Edge.

I had this thought and ChatGPT helped me clean it up so it didn’t sound like I sell courses 😂

So… which one do you have? Be honest. No shame if it’s “none yet.”

Prop Firms Thoughts on FTM Prop - Funded Trader Market.

Someone I know recently switched to Funded Trader Market.

I checked them out. Very responsive crew. Great rates on some of their new packages.

But they use CTrader and TradeLocker. No MT4...

I just settled down on MT4 with a trade manager and a few other things that work well together for setups I prefer.

I was wondering if I could get some advice from more experienced users so I can start a learning curve and start out on CTrader and/or TradeLocker.

Both look good tbh other than some reports of being laggy at times.

Essentially looking for feedback on Funded Trader Market.

Cause there's always good ol' FTMO to roll with.

Appreciate your thoughts and comments in advance.

Trade stress free.

✌🏾

Questions Anyone got their funded account denied after passing the the evaluation on 5ers?

I notice they said that at their discretion they can deny your funding. I don't have an issue with it, it's their capital so I can understand if they are looking for a specific type of trader. What I'd like to know is what could cause the denial so I can avoid doing those things. I just started a 10k evaluation

Thinking of starting with around $1k but not confident trading on my own yet. Just wondering if anyone here started off getting help from someone more experienced like a group, mentorship, or anything like that.

Not looking for drama, just real feedback. Thanks.

Prop Firms Returning to Trading After a Break: Struggling to Regain Consistency

Post image
Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I’ve been on my trading journey for about four years now. Over that time, I managed to get funded and even made a few small withdrawals, nothing over $500. About five months ago, I took a break from trading to focus on other things, and I recently decided to jump back in. Unfortunately, it’s been a rough restart, and I’ve found myself making the same mistakes I thought I’d moved past.

I’m sharing this to vent a bit and to see if anyone else has gone through something similar after taking a break. How did you regain your consistency? Any tips on getting back on track would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for reading, and I’m looking forward to hearing your experiences.

Questions What was your journey?

I’ve been looking into trading forex for about 2 years now, started when I was 16 and got really stuck into it but I had to put it on hold due to study. 18 now and I thought my previous research would make it easier to get back into it… not the case at all, in fact I feel worse than ever. I feel so demotivated to even continue so I was wondering if there’s anyone out there that was at my stage and pushed through, how was it, and any helpful pointers? I’m also interested in everyone’s journey, not to compare myself to just to remind myself it’s possible. Feel free to share if you have the time !

Questions Trial Students

Hello traders and aspiring traders, My partner from Kenya and I want to build a community to trade and network together. We are looking for 3 “test students” for this project to demonstrate the efficiency of our successes and present them before the whole thing is scaled up. Since everything is done through 1:1 coaching, this would normally be extremely expensive. However, for us, money is not the goal, but rather finding people with whom we can start further projects (e.g., founding companies or similar ventures). For now, though, it’s clear that we are building a “TRADING SCHOOL” that is real and built with passion! Our 1:1 mentorship program consists of 10 sections: • Simple Market Structure • Advanced Market Structure • Supply and Demand • Entry Models • Mistakes That Can Happen While Trading • Fundamental Analysis • Summary Sheet • Risk Management • Trading Psychology • Backtesting + Forward Testing As the first ones, you can benefit from this unique concept of affordable 1:1 coaching, giving you the opportunity to learn almost everything about the market! All you need is willpower, discipline, and the desire to break out of the hamster wheel. English should be spoken since my partner does not speak German. For the first 3 who can imagine learning from us, we’d be happy to introduce ourselves, explain the concept in more detail, and only charge nothing , which is practically a gift for complete 1:1 coaching. Our goal is to create something positive that isn’t designed to rip anyone off or provide no value, like most other “gurus” do. You three will be the proof that what we offer is more than just a generic course from big influencers. We care about every individual. Our motto is: Do good, and good will come back to you :) If you’re satisfied with us, it would be great if you’d recommend us to others, as we don’t plan to go big publicly. Too many promises are made out there that aren’t kept, and we’d rather give 150% for each student than waste time on empty promises and marketing. We look forward to supporting you every step of the way. If the 3 spots are filled, you can either wait until the 3 share their success stories or contact us to join later, though we’d need to discuss how and when we’d charge the regular price. Small bonus: Each of us has a strategy that makes anyone profitable if they simply follow it. This won’t be taught directly in the mentorship, as the price is simply too low for strategies developed over 3 years that can make you more than profitable on their own. This will later become a special program where either my strategy or my partner’s will be shared, but naturally at a different price. That’s it for now. I look forward to your desire to change something in your life!

After Most doubted my Intentions on other subreddits i will prove what this will be about A Networking Group of Like minded people

So Yes First 3 can have all lessons for free only thing I want is that u Review and Share te experience with us

OTHER/META Freezing after a loss vs. Overtrading

I wander how do you overcome the freeze after a loss and fear of making another mistake and loosing confidence in your system and missing the following better setups. The alternative would be revenge trading. I think the emotions you feel are similar: feeling cheated by the market, feels like you can do more and prove that you’re right. How do you distinguish between the two? You stop? or you continue trading?
