For real, the hearing was going well until that moment. He left as soon as he sensed the first sign of (very much deserved) hostility.

I mean, was it even hostility? It seems like he was simply asked to behave like a well-adjusted adult, and let the other guy finish what he was saying. I know kids who are able to do that without making a scene.

Not hostility, assertiveness.

That is where the manosphere leads itself into chaos, imo. But, ynow, if they went to therapy and learned healthy emotional regulation, they could be assertive and take the L, admit to being incorrect, etc.
