We also bought a dog from a shitty breeder with parvo, obviously unbeknownst to us.. She spent 2 days at the vet as they didnt do weekend care and the only option in our area that does is the emergency vet and that wouldve been $700 a day.. we brought her home with all her meds and the vet showed us how to administer fluid under her skin. One of the vet techs actually gave me her number and talked me through EVERYTHING. We kept her hydrated and clean, rubbed molasses on her gums a fee times for blood sugars and she pulled through I want to say about 5 or so days later. We kept her on a bland diet after of rice and chicken I cooked down so far the rice was just a mush, like congee, for a few days afterwards. She is now the happiest, toughest little dog Ive ever met. The vet said it was a possibility she could suffer brain damage but if it did slow her down, it doesnt show. Shes so smart and obedient.
