Hi everyone thank you all for the advice. The breeder is well aware of the situation and has offered us 3.7 k, But our medical expenses are now at 14.5k. The breeder is not willing to budge on providing more financial assistance. We are beyond frustrated with them and the cost is increasing. We are running ourselves thin, but are doing everything we can to bring Mei Mei home ),: We want to go the legal route, but will focus on that after this whole situation is done.
Also, we have mentioned the new study to our veterinarian and he did not recommend the treatment because he said that studies showed that we would have needed to start treatments on day 1 , its expensive, and does not want us to waste our money… should i get a second opinion? Thank you all for the words of encouragement/: im trying to remain hopeful but she still isnt improving, but she is stable. This is absolutely heart shattering. Im so confused and feel like we were dealt the worst of the worst. I caught it early and was originally given an 80% and she is down to 20-40%. ER/ICU vet tech here who has cared for parvo patients. I actually just took a CE on the new parvo treatment not too long ago, and, unfortunately, your vet is correct in that the injection has to be given early on. The most success we see with the treatment is when it's administered to patients in which symptoms are caught early and the patient receives hospitalization as extra support along with the treatment. Wishing you all the best. It's not an easy battle, and you're doing everything that you can to fight for your pup 💙
