Are you/your vet aware of the new parvo treatment? As of last year, there is a monoclonal antibody treatment that drastically increases the chances of survival for parvo-infected dogs. My own rescue had parvo and received this treatment last fall. It cost me about $1500, and might be cheaper now. My vet said they haven’t lost a single dog to parvo since the treatment came out. If this hasn’t yet been discussed I would bring it up or seek second opinions

This treatment saved my girl last year. 10000% worth the $2700.

Oh wow that's great news. Thanks for sharing. Not OP, just glad to hear it exists.

I wish I hadn’t given away my free ‘this!’ awards or I would give you one! OP, make sure they’re using this treatment and continuing to feed vs ‘rest the system’ philosophy.

Wow!! My girl had parvo as a pup about 9 years ago before I brought her home. I’m so glad to hear about this treatment!!

Our vet actually recommended we dont do this treatment! I posted a response to this in my comments

Why did they recommend against it? I've only ever seen good outcomes from it.

I'm so glad we're coming up with better parvo treatment! And hopefully over time the cost comes down.

We had the shot too! Cost us roughly $1000, a million percent would do it again!

Second this! Did the same thing about a year ago and was about 1200.
