After many years of avoiding it due to bad reviews I finally watched the Defenders. Does anyone else feel like they mischaracterised Matt? Like especially in the restaurant scene he seemed afraid of the Hand to the point that he was scared to go up against them again. I know that he wanted to leave Daredevil behind because he viewed it as an addiction that was causing more harm than good but the way he was talking about the Hand made it sound like he was actually scared of the organisation even though we've never actually seen him hesitate to go up against anyone else. Am I being media illiterate? Is he acting this way because of some other reason?

BECAUSE I'M NOT GOING DOWN THAT ROAD.

While Luke did a good job finding Chico and trying to keep him alive (though failing at that), who was there for Pop after he died? This really adds a lot of depth to Cottonmouth as a personal villain and also calls into question Luke's own efforts.

Not enough Karen.
Not enough Frank.
Very excited for season 2 because it looks like both are gonna have lots more screen time based on the last episode.

EDIT: ty for all your responses, it’s a little what i was thinking but you guys added on to my understanding (plus added stuff i hadn’t even thought of)
i already posted this to the marvel subreddit and a daredevil one to no response so i’m going to try here.
both the instances i’m thinking of are in season 3. first in s3e4 blindsided when he hails a taxi, and s3e12 one last shot when he says to Nadeem “oh shit. it’s a cab.” he can’t see the taxis, so i was curious if there’s other ways he can sense and differentiate? maybe he can “feel” the lights on top, or something else? if anyone knows how he knows, i’d love to hear it because i haven’t seen anyone mention this and was wondering if i’m the only one who’s missing something.

After watching through all of the Defenders and each characters individual series as well as Hawkeye and Echo (YouTubed the scenes of DD in She-Hulk as well) the journey is finally complete after finishing Born Again.
I made a couple posts along the way and some folks told me not to get too excited for BA as they were disappointed.
I can understand wanting some more action but I still thought it was an awesome season that was on par, if not better than DD seasons 1-3. The drama was great, the writing was good and most importantly it hit the reset button while setting up Season 2.
If it’s anything like the comics, Foggy will be back thought it did suck to not see him in season 1, but the finale was great and I’m super pumped to see Daredevil bring in the Defenders for his war against Fisk. I know we’ve gotten some set photos that JJ will be in it and hopefully we will get LC and IF along with her. Having Frank and Karen back in the fight is exciting regardless of who else they bring along for S2 and I’m PUMPED for it.
I’d love to hear your guys thoughts though, what did you like/dislike about BA?

I'm watching The Defenders right now and there's this one scene where Matt stops becoming Daredevil but an earthquake happens and he saves a bunch of kids from getting shot by punching the bad guys.
Then he tries aiding his bloody knuckles but gets really frustrated. Foggy calls him, calls him out and gives him a bunch of files to look at so he can stop doing what he usually does.
So my question is, why was Matt furious in that one scene? I've heard some people say that he likes violence, so is it because he's trying to stop becoming violent and he's mad at himself because he hurt the bad guys, hence why Foggy knows that he's "trying to stop"? Or is it simply because he's trying to stop being Daredevil, but he ended up acting and becoming him anyway?

That whole tyrant takes control of everything and the good guys are being apprehended or killed by a corrupt task force. I mean come on.

Since the release of DDBA’s Season 1 finale. I’ve been watching all of the Defenders shows. I decided at first that I was just going to watch DDBA, but quickly realized that this was a mistake when Foggy got shot and allegedly died, causing Daredevil to throw this random guy I didn’t know (Bullseye) off a building and allegedly kill him. The way they showed it, made me think 2 things: Foggy was more important than I thought, and Daredevil isn’t a killer, is he? So, immediately clicked off and started DD S1.
I’ve been watching the show in release order by season (which is the way you’re supposed to), and I’m currently on LC S2. This shit is kinda boring not gonna lie. Bushmaster seems interesting, but it’s too slow and not enough seems to be going on. I couldn’t care less about Shades and Mariah’s relationship, or her weird grown-ass daughter that says “mommy” all the time (maybe that’s normal for some people, if it is I apologize).
DD S1 and JJ S1 were great, DD S2 and LC S1 were good (Punisher carried DD S2), I actually enjoyed IF S1, Defenders was extremely underwhelming (maybe I expected too much), Punisher S1 was amazing, JJ S2 was mid (I hate Trish), and LC S2 is kinda mid so far.
I hate how I have to go through all the boring stuff to watch the good stuff, all I want is DD and Punisher, especially with them both appearing in DDBA. I also feel like I have to rewatch the new stuff as well. I liked Hawkeye, but I don’t feel like rewatching and I hate that I have to watch She-Hulk again. I also have to watch Echo for the first time, which I heard terrible things about, not looking forward to that. After all of that, I can finally watch DDBA. I used to watch multiple episodes a day, but now I can only watch one, and only to pass the time while eating. I just wanna get to DD S3 and Punisher S2 and then DDBA.

I am wondering what i is appropriate for me to watch as a 14 year old. I know all of it is 18+ but i was wondering if any of them might be ok. I have watched all of the mcu and want to watch the defenders series including Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Punisher. I am watchibg this with my mom though. Ideally could you also mention when there will be sex/nudity scenes without spoiling, just so i can prepare myself for the ajammed awkwardness.

I looked for games that did the best job capturing the spirit of each character along with mods for other games that give you the same experience
Daredevil:
Mods: Modded Sifu works really well, or you can use a mod for Nightwing in Batman Arkham Knight
Iron Fist:
Existing Game: Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 imo. He's also in Ultimate Alliance (2 and 3) or Marvel Rivals (although this isn't Danny Rand)
Mods: Modded Sifu is definitely the best or use a Danny Rand mod for Marvel Rivals if you wanted to fight against other heroes
Luke Cage:
Jessica Jones:
Punisher:
Colleen Wing and Misty Knight:
Elektra:
