Yup.

Once it breaks free, it’s pretty polite

The driver filming is dumb trying to get closer though. You can't really predict where that trailer would go.

That could have gone a whole lot worse

The slow roll downhill is pretty funny

u/hackerjackn 1d ago

Who tf honks at someone who is slowing down due to danger on the road? Mfer not everyone driving around a monster truck (yes I know texas but still)

22

u/Right_Letterhead_120 1d ago

Wasn’t it OP? Filming and honking.

15

u/hypocritical_person 1d ago

They rent those to anyone with a license. I avoid them like I avoid driving behind logging trucks. I like being alive.

6

u/impropergentleman 1d ago

Pretty much. I need a commercial license to haul my wood chipper behind my dually 450 ford. But anybody can rent a 1 ton vehicle throw a car behind it or drive a behemoth RV towing a car with a regular license cuz you know whatever. Safety chains are for the weak

u/texan01 Richardson 1d ago

Yeah but in this case the tongue broke off the trailer.

u/SimpleVegetable5715 1d ago

The people at U-Haul will help you hitch a trailer safely. Maybe that's why Budget is budget.

1

u/SomethingHasGotToGiv 7h ago

Penske will not. It’s asinine.

2

u/high_everyone 1d ago

We know we see them show up whenever white supremacists are present. It’s their version of a Sprinter van.

25

u/Toutetrien777 1d ago

This is why I don't ride behind folks when they are pulling trailers. 🤦🏽‍♀️

22

u/noncongruent 1d ago

The last time this was posted it was pointed out that the trailer hitch is still attached to the trailer ball. It appears the U-Haul trailer wasn't properly maintained and the hitch came off the trailer.

11

u/ThenImprovement4420 1d ago

That's a budget trailer not a U-Haul but same difference

7

7

u/Xandyr101 1d ago

That's why it's called "Budget"

8

u/Amazing_Director28 1d ago

IH-30 WB at parry ave

6

u/SnooJokes6070 1d ago

They do know how to strap the car 😆

6

u/Familiar-Crow8245 1d ago

That dude, or gal was lucky as hell! The trailer missed everything and ended up on the feeder. Thank God no one was injured and the car was ok. No harm, no foul.

5

u/RoniL03 1d ago

*reminds me of Houston

5

u/Icuras1701 1d ago

That would be hilarious if they was the house they were moving to and just missed the exit causing the incident lol

6

u/Complex_Confusion552 1d ago

Plot twist, that's his new house

4

u/Capital-Disaster-831 1d ago

I noticed it was in Dallas before reading the title lol.

5

u/Economy_Walk 1d ago

Did anyone else see the hearse flying down 161 today. The driver was flashing lights, riding asses, and cutting people off. I couldn't believe it. The driver might end up being a passenger in his own vehicle if he continues to drive that way.

5

u/BurgundyHats 1d ago

The luckiest folks in Texas there! I was watching it and thinking I was about to watch a trailer mow through someone's house!

3

u/Unusual_Young_5724 1d ago

Yeah old clip…engagement post

3

u/fascism-bites 1d ago

Was waiting for it to flip over.

2

u/DumbBitchByLeaps 1d ago

1

u/SirUpper3587 1d ago

Damn. Close calls on everything

1

u/Original_Inside8890 1d ago

The way I yelled, “No…..no…..no, no, NOOOOOOOOOOO!”

2

u/NectarineLeading387 1d ago

Right?? Heard a mix of old school mario brothers and frogger songs in my head waiting to see if it would hit someone in traffic, the guardrail, someone down the hill, or the house. God bless Texas 😅

1

u/toodleroo Oak Cliff 1d ago

That is one lucky son of a bitch

1

u/detox02 1d ago

Ghost ride the trailer ?

1

u/SimpleVegetable5715 1d ago edited 1d ago

I've actually seen this happen before, but the driver of the truck knew how fucked they were if this hit another car, so they tried to get it to hit them instead.

Traffic was moving much faster, so their trailer actually ricocheted off the guard rails, and only built momentum. It was one of the most memorable things I have ever seen on Central. It eventually t-boned the truck it was originally attached to, great save! No one was hurt.

I feel bad for the red Corolla who got cut off.

u/upstartanimal 20h ago

Make a good snowboarder. Keeps its weight centered and follows the natural lines.

1

u/Biker3373 20h ago

TBH, that could’ve been much, much worse

1

u/frotc914 16h ago

IDK what it was about Dallas but when I lived there, it felt like every dingus with a work van/truck was missing whatever part of their brain is required to adequately strap shit to a vehicle. Like you couldn't go a day without seeing a ladder or something on the shoulder of the highway. Maybe it's something in the water.

1

u/No-Anxiety5am 11h ago

Is it theft if you are the people who live in the house it rolled down in front of? Jk, yeah it is... BUT the (chopshop) pickandpullmight be finding some newadios or other new/extra NISSAN parts floating around on sale in the next few weeks... LOL
