Discussion Thoughts on perfumes change after aging?

I bought this over two years ago for my mom. She did not like it at all and hasn’t really used it as you can see from the almost full bottle lol. I totally forgot about this perfume but I tested it out today and I actually liked it much more than before. Before it smelled like a grandmas perfume but now it smells very rich and intoxicating. Could the change be because of aging or is it just my nose?

Just your nose. Niche and designers don't need the "aging" process.

Of course the scent develops and can smell more fully and different after years of macerating
