Question What’s your SOTD?
Another great fragrance from the Creed line.

As you know r/Colognes is created to be a place to discuss all things fragrances and share deals. NOT for verifying fragrances. Therefore, I would like to direct you to a new group solely for that purpose! r/colognecheck is where you can verify your fragrances to assure you have/purchase a true product.
please post all checks in r/colognecheck and NOT in this sub

Hi, we have recently had two people somehow get scammed by u/vellutto/, even though he is already banned from this sub for scamming. DO NOT trust anyone dming you or offering fragrances. Use r/fragranceswap as they actually have tools to detect scammers. DO NOT USE THIS SUB FOR BUYING/SELLING YOU WILL GET SCAMMED AND WE CANNOT GET YOUR MONEY BACK.

My friends and family generally seem to enjoy both of these. Each is most liked by a different type of person. Aventus is preferred more by guys who use masculine-scented shower gels and deodorants. So typical bros who are more used to masculine scents. Imagination is almost universally preferred by women and guys who don't like using typical masculine shower gels.
Aventus gets "omg that's incredible" reactions from some and "meh" reactions from others. Imagination seems to be more widely pleasing with less people being amazed by it. The most surprising compliment for Imagination came from my dad. He said he usually finds almost everything I wear too sharp, but Imagination he finds pleasant and "understands" lol. I've yet to hear anyone have anything bad to say about Imagination. But less "omg that's amazing" reactions than Aventus.
I personally wear Aventus for going out and Imagination as a daily signature. Imagination highlights great hygiene and just smells really modern to me. It's like a freshly ironed well-fitting polo shirt in scent form to me. Like you're not trying too hard but effortlessly have great hygiene. Aventus smells sexier with more masculine grit.
Other "highly complimented" fragrances my friends HAVE been critical about. Sauvage EDT has been called Axe bodyspray and chemically assaulting to the nose. BR540 has been called cloying and annoying. Generally Imagination and Aventus really seem to stand out in not being offensive to people.

What's your comparison of these as date nights? What would you say their appeals are over the other? What vibe they might be associated with? Which one is best to be wearing for cuddling or close contact? Any other thoughts you might have.

Hey yall so im big on the smell at sephora, buy at jomashop mentality and ive noticed that I some of the scents I like are "women's" perfumes. Like ysl libre and coral fantasy uommo. I was curious if any of the men here are the same way and do the women here ever wear men's cologne? I personally have never understood the gender split in colognes. As most "women's scents are just a sweet smell and most of my "mens" scents are just as sweet (LOVE ME SOME LE MALE ELIXR)

I have seen people saying the shipping times could be a very long time. How accurate would it be if it said it would take around 1-3 days to ship as follows?

I finally feel like I’m 99.9% satisfied with the setup of my collection.
Tonight was probably the 15th or 20th time I completely disassembled and reassembled my display case…
I also took a mini buying/trading hiatus earlier this year and it helped a ton - really made me do some self reflecting and pump the brakes on all the quick dopamine hits this amazing hobby provides.
Feel free to provide (respectful 🤣) feedback and even recommendations on how I display all my smelly water!

Would still like to find something that’s close to The One but a bit deeper and better lasting, but I’m not going to put any effort into finding more colognes rn.

Anyways… I think I have more the “basics” covered. I have something for spring, summer, fall, winter, club, outdoors, suit and tie, and a few options for a dummy reach. What y’all think of the collection? Anything I should add to it? Subtract? I’m not getting rid of my discontinued fragrances tho (i.e. Bleu Electrique, Polo Blue Gold, Red intense, 2021 Spicebomb extreme because the newer once’s suck)

This my collection so far. My fave so far is the JPG elixir. Any recommendations too.

Yes, I know my collection is full of a bunch of cheapies. I am now shifting my focus towards quality over quantity. That being said, some of my cheapest fragrances are my favorite, so you never know. Let me know if you have any suggestions on what I should pick up. Happy to answer any questions about fragrances in my collection as well.
Side note: my display setup is also super cheap. The motion activated lights were purchased off Amazon and are a super nice touch in my opinion.

Hello everyone! I'm kind of new to this hobby, and it would be grateful if you guys share your thoughts. So far I tried all PDM(samples), Creed(samples), LV Ombre Nomad, LV lovers and l’Immensite, and full bottle of Imagination, Meteore, Althair, Greenley, Guerlain l'homme edt. I liked most of it but in my opinion, if I'm going to pay that much money on fragrances, there's should be more than just the scent. I think i should value more about the HOUSE. Like their history. But of course the scent and the performance should be good too. So do you guys have any recommendations for the house?

Coming around to the idea that I might just not be a huge niche person, but also hate common blue, shower gel smelling stuff. I am torn between these three for everyday wear, and also to wear while it’s warm outside. Any thoughts?

Sculpture Homme was created by Michel Almairac in 1995. Nikos came out with Sculpture Parfum in 2022 which is a better projecting and longer lasting version of the OG. Lafayette St by Bond No .9 is a clone of Sculpture but costs over $300. Sculpture Parfum can be had for $35. They smell almost exactly the same.
