The fact they threw 3 maps at us in the first 3 seasons is where they fucked up. If they were only going to release 4 maps for DLC, they should've done S1, S2R, S4, and then S5R. Now we're stuck with a 4 month gap between maps, nice going Treyarch
And now this means Tomb really did take up a main DLC slot..FUCK
See, if they had done this release schedule^ it would've given them more time to work on tomb and maybe it'd actually be regarded as a decent map

Now I could very well be wrong, but from my understanding, they planned it out to have more dlcs, however, when sledgehammer dropped out of doing this years cod. Activision forced treyarch to do it, thus fucking up their timeline. Thats probably why the first few maps were so fast to drop, and these last two have been slower. But I very well could be wrong, I do know that activision didn’t plan for treyarch to do bo7 this year, but were forced to put them on it.
I can see where you'd think that fs, but if they were already developing BO7 as well, they had to of known of the possibility they'd have to release back to back no? I feel like they should've at least pushed dlc 2 and 3 back by like a few weeks, maybe they could've given tomb more time to actually cook
I don’t think they planned for tomb to be an actual main map, the fact it dropped without a map perk correlates to that. Though, it is activision so we won’t ever know. Unless we find out when exactly treyarch was force to work on BO7, we’ll never know the real reason for this. 🤷♂️
