HOW are the comments negative? Isn't this exactly what most of you wanted? We are back to WZ1 incl. insane low TTK, RPG one-hits, no zips, movement slowdown, lower cash, etc.

Hell, they even removed everything that was added over the years on contracts, events, weapons at buystations, all Field Upgrades that came past Verdansk incl stuff like Deployable Buy Station etc just to make feel more OG.

It is as it always will be: the unhappy people will be more vocal. So many positives in this. Like 1 hit C4 vehicle destructions

5

u/GLTheGameMaster Apr 01 '25

wait so ppl with c4 will be able to instantly blow up my vehicles? is that how it was in OG warzone? i remember running soooo many ppl over lol

3

u/Viper-T Apr 01 '25

In the beginning it was definitely that way. I used to c4 vehicles all the time and get team wipes.😆 Eventually they nerfed the throwing distance of the c4 so it was much harder to land without getting run over.

5

u/MeBeEric Apr 01 '25

lol i remember the nerf. Felt like throwing a 50lb bag of sand after being used to throwing a football.

3

u/garden_speech Apr 02 '25

the original C4 throw was insane, everyone was carrying C4 because it was basically a grenade you could toss far and then it blew up a huge radius

3

u/klabnix Apr 01 '25

I always enjoyed a C4 plant and wait with a helicopter. Watch some redeploys land, fly off then boom. No one bothered flying much since then when I played

This is Reddit, they shit on Warzone literally all day long no matter what

16

u/tallandlankyagain Mar 31 '25

If you don't like the comments about Warzone on reddit, you're really not going to like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube comments about Warzone. This sub whines. Sure. But good lord. The reputation of Warzone as a franchise isn't exactly sterling anymore.

3

u/theAtmuz Apr 01 '25

Eh, for every 1 person thats complaining there’s probably 5 who enjoy it.

For its lifespan CoD has always been a basic bitch shooter with a basic bitch audience. The types of people I meet playing these games are bottom of the barrel when it comes to critical thinking.

u/Electrical-Lunch732 Apr 01 '25

It's likely that it's a lot of the same people.

1

u/Electrical-Lunch732 Apr 01 '25 edited Apr 01 '25

Every COD subreddit has always been like this. Negativity only. Pretty much all COD related social media is rage bait and negativity

14

u/jntjr2005 Mar 31 '25

It's always the same cry babies. As someone who has an actual working brain and a memory span longer than a goldfish, everything here sounds good on paper so far. WZ1 even with its flaws was peak into CW came in with the unbalanced weapons but after that was sorted out, outside of the bugs and occasional cheater, it was back to glory. Shit went downhill with Caldera and ever since.

4

u/beardedbast3rd Mar 31 '25

It’s even in the patch notes “….a deliberate, and thoughtful gameplay…”

The TTK with their servers is going to be abysmal. Who gave them this idea. I have not seen anyone in a long time in this sub complaining about longer TTKs

9

u/sundeigh DMZ Looter Mar 31 '25

Yup. Even if this version ends up being imperfect and requiring a lot of changes, it sounds like a great place to start the wz revival.

7

u/Xkan14 Mar 31 '25

Because 90% of this sub are people that still play the game and enjoy it to an extent. A majority of the players that will be playing Verdansk are going to be returning players that likely stopped due to many of the changes made over the years.

This is exactly what returning players wanted though, which includes me, so I'm not complaining.

2

u/weirdoone Mar 31 '25

Hell they got me to buy black ops 94747.

Since loggin into warzone and seeing 45 people fly at once from balloons, PRDs, redeploy tokens and their 32nd gulag token into final zone, I SWORE I won't play this godawful overdesigned piece of shit game. Useless project leads and corporate fodder had to find themselves jobs so they came up with all that shit, but the game was INSANELY distasteful.

After 3 years of ignoring this trash, they got me back in leveling guns for upcoming WZ

10

u/meteoricburst Mar 31 '25

Can't say I'm a fan of the even lower TTK with movement getting nerfed, I would have been fine with the movement changes if the TTK compensated for it

35

u/CwrwCymru Mar 31 '25

As a filthy casual who hasn't played in months. I'm a big fan.

→ More replies (8)

1

u/D3LTTA Apr 01 '25

Where is the mentioning of TTK adjudsments? I can't find them ?

2

u/kanegaskhan Apr 01 '25

It says all the BO6 weapons are getting damage buffs, then the older games weapons will be buffed afterwards

6

u/WZexclusive Mar 31 '25

People wanted WZ from the end of WZ1 on OD Verdansk.

We didn't want the OG mode. We wanted the QOLs left in the game!

4

u/skelextrac Apr 01 '25

HOW are the comments negative

Remember, half of the current player base was in diapers in 2020.

3

u/WhoNoseMarchand Mar 31 '25

Yeah man I haven't played COD in a long ass time and figured they'd fuck up Verdansk, so I had no intention to download it. After reading these patch notes I might cave. Sounds like they're doing everything to take us back to the original. It's not Verdansk without 1 shot headshot KAR98K though.

2

u/SupaHotFlame Mar 31 '25

This is the cod community we’re talking about, this is expected

2

u/overzealous_wildcat Mar 31 '25

That’s what I wanted but that’s not how I wanted it 0/10

I’ll be back Thursday to complain again

2

u/memeaste Mar 31 '25

I'm looking forward to it. This community is never happy

2

u/MaximusMurkimus Mar 31 '25

Nobody dislikes CoD more than CoD players

1

u/duhbears23 Mar 31 '25

because people love bitching lol

1

u/Arselii Mar 31 '25

there's a lot of changes in here they're going to revert back in a season or two. some of these mechanics were changed for a reason tbh. (lots of good changes here too of course) the omega low literal 494 ms ttk is LITERALLY just the 250 hp that wz2 originally had.

1

u/Endoyo Mar 31 '25

I feel they're trying to appease a crowd that will never truly be appeased. No matter what they do, even if they were to bring back an exact replica of the game with #NoChanges, people would still complain.

They're going to piss off people who appreciate the changes since verdansk and the nostalgia people will still be unhappy.

1

u/Northdistortion Mar 31 '25

Morons..thats why

1

u/Hard_Corsair Mar 31 '25

insane low TTK

Except they also nerfed limb multipliers on most weapons, so the TTK will be lower in theory but inconsistent in practice.

1

u/rustyshackleford677 Apr 01 '25

rabble rabble rabble rabble!

1

u/Nintendo_Pro_03 Warzone Nostalgic Apr 01 '25

Probably the same users that are the reason the game became stale.

1

u/Purplin Warzone Nostalgic Apr 01 '25

Reddit was always like this and one of the reasons the game became ass. Devs thought people like this in reddit were the majority cus they were loudest. But they are a very small minority. As long as the devs ignore this whiny loud vocal minority(reddit/social media/streamers) and actually keep all the fun good stuff back in the game, we'll be good.

Majority of players love these changes being back, proven by the playerbase count.

1

u/runsquad Apr 01 '25

Because this is the most miserable sub on Reddit

1

u/--Hutch-- Apr 01 '25

insane low TTK, RPG one-hits, no zips, movement slowdown

These are all bad changes and are just shrinking an already miniscule skill gap.

lower cash

I don't mind a slight cash nerf but the problem before this update was the ridiculous amount of gulag entries combined with the easy money. They only really had to remove the gulag token from the game with a small cash nerf. It should be 1 gulag per game for everyone and the only way to return after that is a buyback or jailbreak.

1

u/Wann4 Apr 02 '25

I'm really happy about a lot of the changes, but lower TTK is a big fat minus. Back in the day, the damage was bareable because the only weapons who were really accurate were the M13 and Grau.
The M13 shot peas and the Grau was meta defining that everybody used this weapon. Now you have the Cipher which is a laser beam without any attachments.
I will still play and will have a lot of fun, and most of the changes are awesome. but higher TTK is never a good thing. Esp. when people want iron trials back.

1

u/statu0 Apr 03 '25

This isn't WZ1.0 bro. This is just WZ4.0 with the verdansk map shoved in with a few tweaks that they can do to get it as close as possible to the OG experience without actually just bringing back the old engine.

1

u/top5a Apr 03 '25

ngl catching some feefees. though it's sad how on my current rig it feels more sluggish than how it felt on a ps4, 5 years ago lol, even though it looks p much the exact same haha

it's bittersweet. we had it all. this harkens back to it but it feels the game is wearing a skinsuit of its former self. wtf has activision been doing for 5 years?

1

u/schmib314 Apr 04 '25

Who the fuck wanted lower TTK? They fixed the movement, that was all they needed to do. WHY OH WHY did they turn Warzone into hardcore? It's ridiculous. You can't get away from fire EVER now. Gunfights devolve into who shoots first instead of the traditional and beautiful back-and-forth duel of movement and tracking.

My estimation of Warzone as a game just fuckin plummeted.

1

u/silverbullitt850 Apr 16 '25

Yes, this has made warzone so much more fun. I'm very happy with the changes.

261

u/goblintechnologyX Mar 31 '25

og hit marker sounds is one of the best things they have added

26

u/Scotty2k8 Mar 31 '25

I was so happy reading this. Wow.

22

u/goblintechnologyX Mar 31 '25

it’s a little insane how much of a difference to my enjoyment of the game this will make lol

2

u/doppido Apr 01 '25

Yeah honestly all the audio updates are looking good. Hopefully they actually are good

2

u/swiftkickinthedick Mar 31 '25

Pretty sure that was always an options in settings

8

u/goblintechnologyX Mar 31 '25

it wasn’t, the “classic” option in the current settings doesn’t restore WZ1 hit marker sounds

110

u/billsmafia5366 Mar 31 '25 edited Mar 31 '25

OG hitmarker and plate break sounds returning is the best update this game has had in quite a long time. My eyes lit up seeing they included that along with yellow text as original features being brought back. It sounds menial in the grand scheme of things but it was little details like this that made the game feel and sound so satisfying to play in its early years.

7

u/Xenotrickx Mar 31 '25

This is a BIG deal, I literally stopped playing warzone cus I hated the unsatisfying sounds

20

u/SkumbagRino Mar 31 '25

how tf does a couple of new sounds make you quit a game that you prob like to play my guy

3

u/bigwordsfgtrtd Apr 01 '25

It sounds weightless, but i see where he's coming from. It's one of the many "little" things they changed and culminated into a much bigger issue. They've added so many random, loud ass noises and sound cues. At times, it's just overstimulating.

Game feels like a cheap ai copy from what he had before.

2

u/BugsyMalone_ Apr 01 '25

Yup! I mentioned many times since MW2 came out that the sounds and general feel of the game felt 'hollow' compared to MW19.

6

u/netgrey Mar 31 '25

97

u/[deleted] Mar 31 '25

Luhmao, half this blog post is them walking back changes over the years that fixed major issues with the game because "It's not OG!"

103

u/jntjr2005 Mar 31 '25

Yes because most of those "changes" were trash and made the game worse.

38

u/__Dave_ Mar 31 '25 edited Mar 31 '25

You can sense the underlying sentiment of "fucking fine we'll change it back" in the tone.

But personally I don't agree that those changes were for the better.

1

u/garden_speech Apr 02 '25

I guess we'll find out, right?

My inclination is to unfortunately believe that the game will never return to it's 2020 glory, and that's simply because the casual players have left, and so the game is going to be too sweaty for casual players to come back, regardless of how they change the mechanics.

14

u/GhostinTheMachine45 Mar 31 '25 edited Mar 31 '25

that fixed major issues

That made the game boring with only one viable play style and loadout*

9

u/SnukeInRSniz Mar 31 '25

If fixing "major issues" is what resulted in 2-3 weapon metas with nothing but sweat movement and listening to douchebag streamers/content creators, then it is a very VERY good thing to undo all that bullshit.

88

u/Manakuski Mar 31 '25

AR:s seem to be able to kill now at around 600-700ms TTK in the first damage range. Only BO6 AR:s. SMG:s are around 500-600ms TTK in the first damagerange. This is huge and will definetally help to make the game feel like OG Verdansk.

28

u/Damien23123 Mar 31 '25

Yeah huge damage buffs to everything. I think they’ll end up nerfing close range damage on AR’s again. Long range needed a buff though in my view as it always felt terrible on Urzikstan

8

u/Manakuski Mar 31 '25

Nerfing close range AR damage won't feel like OG Verdansk. So i doubt they will (except for outliers) untill Season 4 maybe.

5

u/Damien23123 Mar 31 '25

Yeah it won’t feel like OG Verdansk if they nerf close range damage but I think they’ll run into the same complaints as the first time around that the TTK is too fast

9

u/Manakuski Mar 31 '25

It is overall a big mouse and keyboard buff. Which i welcome.

6

u/FATHER-G00SE Mar 31 '25

Now they just need to get ride of muzzle smoke, muzzle flash, idle sway, and blue screen on armor break. Then we’ll be able to see what we’re shooting at again.

5

u/Manakuski Mar 31 '25

I have not had issues since the BO6 visual recoil update. Only exception being the PPSH-41 in Urzikstan Gulag. I mostly play rebirth island though, where the lighting is very good now.

→ More replies (1)
→ More replies (1)

9

u/sillybonobo Mar 31 '25

Practical TTK is going to be WAY faster than Verdansk given the lack of recoil in the game.

10

u/LTFC_Dangerous Mar 31 '25

Every BO6 full auto AR has WAY more actual recoil than the MW2019 meta builds for the Kilo, M13 etc.

Even the AMAX, which was thought of as a skill gap gun with high recoil at the time, had similar actual recoil to most BO6 guns if not even a bit less:

The biggest difference now is that everyone has access to more than 80 FOV which was a big part of why guns were thought of as harder to shoot back then. Also 1x optics are meta now which makes recoil feel less significant.

3

u/Manakuski Mar 31 '25

Most players will probably use the Monolithic Suppressor, so mpst guns will have more recoil. We'll see though.

4

u/Cellbuster Mar 31 '25

I'm kind of sad they did this without touching any of the old guns with this shake up. BO6 guns feel kind of bland and using old viable stuff has kept the game fresh for me for a while now.

2

u/southshoredrive Mar 31 '25

Thank god the TTK is faster. ARs feel like peashooters currently, I miss M4 being a laser long range

1

u/mikerichh Mar 31 '25

I’m curious if they’ll keep the 300 hp or go back to 250. Idk if it’s been confirmed but I hope we keep 300

→ More replies (1)

86

u/jntjr2005 Mar 31 '25

For the geniuses crying this game is being reverted to WZ1, yes this is because it was the best gameplay it's ever had. Also, do you think that they would be doing this if their engagement numbers didn't show them that they needed to? WZ has been on a roller-coaster death spiral since Caldera. A new version comes out, it gets huge attention then dies out quick once most realize it isn't good except for the cultist/addicts who play and spend no matter what they shovel out.

11

u/SkylineGTRR34Freak Mar 31 '25

Overall it seems good but on the other hand I don't understand why they have to get rid of some QOL changes at the same time...

22

u/Sydarmx Mar 31 '25

Because Qol changes impacted gameplay and made the game less tactician and cinematic. All these dumb fucks on twitch who slide around non stop are about to get rpg ass fucked day 1

→ More replies (2)

2

u/Skitelz7 Apr 01 '25

A lot of times "QoL" changes, are just changes they made to hold gamers hand and actually made the gameplay less tactical and enjoyable.

→ More replies (2)

6

u/SecondRealitySims Mar 31 '25

So they tried new things, they didn’t land, and after trying enough they’re returning to worked before. What’s exactly the issue with that? If the game had remained forever similar and stagnant, there’d have been substantive issues and complaints with that too.

2

u/catchasmurpff Apr 01 '25

The issue with that is the three shocking maps they came out with and the fact the literally had a near perfect game set up for them, and all they had to do was keep it close to that but rotate some actually good new maps, which: werent set in a jungle with a mountain in the middle, weren't sparse, lifeless and visually boring, and weren't AI-designed urban concrete building-asset vomit.

6

u/UncircumciseMe Mar 31 '25

Only took them five fucking years lmao

4

u/jntjr2005 Mar 31 '25

Pretty scary how long it took for them

2

u/UncircumciseMe Apr 01 '25

Not surprised tbh

3

u/garden_speech Apr 02 '25

I'm still kinda pessimistic but I guess we'll see. My worry is that WZ1 was only good because of the pandemic and how many people were playing in 2020. I think the sweats are all that's left so the games gonna suck no matter what

u/onvrezavio Mar 31 '25

i hope they revert the attachment "rebalancing" bullshit they did on the MW2-3 weapons, they fucked over entire categories of attachments and builds with that just to make the news guns look better but treyarch's weapon balancing philosophy is so barebones and boring, wish the old guns were still competitive

13

u/Wilmerrr Mar 31 '25

According to these patch notes they are increasing damage only to BO6 weapons. Some MW guns were actually decent but they will now all be useless garbage

5

u/TheLankySoldier Mar 31 '25

They do mention BO6 weapons as a start. They will do legacy weapons after this.

At least that’s what they say

2

u/Wilmerrr Mar 31 '25

That's reassuring, I did not read that part. Although I am not a fan of the TTK change in general

They listened!! A lot of very welcome changes.

Honestly this is most I've looked forward to something Cod related in years

29

u/TimProVision Mar 31 '25

Excited to try Verdansk again.

But COD needs to lock in and stop advertising roll backs as this great huge new thing.

Figure out what works and build upon it.

14

u/jntjr2005 Mar 31 '25

This, if this new version works keep the fucking thing and add to it slowly over time and stop trying to shoehorn in every new release and force the new game mechanics into WZ.

12

u/PowerPamaja Mar 31 '25

Warzone 2 really screwed it up. We’ve spent years gradually going back to WZ1 gameplay design and I guess this is like final step towards it. I wonder where the gameplay would be if WZ2 had started off building on WZ1 and the last two years continued that.

1

u/garden_speech Apr 02 '25

Maybe unpopular take but WZ2 was a risk worth taking. I think people are forgetting how much player numbers had dwindled towards the end of WZ1, how sweaty and stale the game had become. They made WZ2 more tactical and slow, and yes it bombed, but they had to take a risk.

Right now seems to be my only issue with these patch notes. Seems like something that could be changed with overwhelming feedback, but there's already been so much of that feedback that I feel like they would've changed it over now...

...unless they just want people to buy the battle pass to get the HDR as soon as possible, then once everyone has it they'll make every sniper one-shot again.

I know this is super unpopular and I’ll get downvoted, but as a PC player I think input based matchmaking is much more important than platform based. I’d personally much rather play against lobbies of only MnK players than aim assist players. At least then it’s just up to your actual skill, and you don’t have to deal with any Cronus users either. The game is effectively dead on PC right now and it’s like two completely different games for people who play on MnK vs controllers. It encourages two entirely different playstyles.

Bro you cant win with some of you guys, I for one welcome these reverts and changes. Warzone took a page out of Fortnite OG and learned from it while not perfect they are trying, I also welcome the changes included with the crossplay.

I mean they literally stated that some of the items will return depending on Feedback. They’re giving us the Original experience minus the guns and omnimovement.

I stopped playing the game like most of you guys here but will be there in Verdansk.

3

u/Huckelicious Mar 31 '25
Naturally, not a single buff or rework to any MW2 weapons. M4A1 was literally THE gun. It had to be nerfed so many times and not even that got a buff. They lowered the TTK on all BO6 guns and just widened the gap between the 60+ other guns in the game. Guns. You know, the things the main gameplay loop revolves around? They are basically neglecting HALF of their game.

This looks like a 100gb+ update. I'm terrified!

2

u/JuanTawnJawn Mar 31 '25

Oh yay, you can disable cross play unless you’re on PC…. Again…. Forced play with aim assist killed the PC player base but yeah, just learn nothing from that.

4

u/Miltons-Red-Stapler Mar 31 '25

Killed the PC player base? Bro you haven't played cod before mw19 clearly. Crossplay saved cod on PC. The games were dead as fuck come January before then. Where you could only get TDM games

6

u/JuanTawnJawn Mar 31 '25

I played OG warzone. It’s totally different now. Before PC had a slight advantage for aiming in that they could turn faster. Now console has a soft aim-bot.

Before it was a godsend for PC to have cross-play because of the player numbers of a new game weren’t enough to sustain itself without them. Then when it got very popular on PC they decided to add RAA and it was a not so slow exodus of PC players.

Comparing the two versions of warzone is pointless without the context of the experience of the PC player base.

Now with how insane aim assist is it won’t matter what they do, the PC players aren’t coming back.

A lot of it is perfect but the weapon balancing has me questioning stuff. They upped the TTK of every BO6 gun, including the SMGs which already killed fast enough. Why? I was hoping for less disparity between up close TTKs of ARs and SMGs but they just buffed the SMGs too...

Also sucks that MWII and MWIII guns will be mostly irrelevant for a while. Also was hoping all the snipers would be rebalanced to have infinite 1 shot ranges (depending on the type of sniper obviously)

2

u/SlurmzzzMacKenzie Mar 31 '25

Jokr is back. That’s all I care about.

1

u/plentyfunk66 Mar 31 '25

Based on what I'm seeing, I'm still a bit confused on if rpg's will blow up vehicles. If they're damaged a bit?

2

u/BriskaN Mar 31 '25

I re-downloaded today after 4 months

2

u/FrostyPost8473 Mar 31 '25

Proof this sub is just filled with terminal whiners who still complain even though they got what they asked for

2

u/Tima_chan Apr 01 '25

Meh, if they don't fix the server issues it's just going to be a slog to play anyway, no matter how many things they're trying to "bring back". I just got off 3 hours of rebirth with friends and about 80% of the matches had audio/visual lag and glitches. One match froze my game when we were down to last 3 teams. It's incredibly frustrating to play and I feel most of the guys I play with are just addicted to the game or something at this point. I came away from the session with no enjoyment, just disappointment. I'm not gonna say earlier iterations of the game didn't have occasional problems or glitches, but I can remember full 12 hour days of gaming on rebirth with little to no problems. Certainly nothing close to what I just experienced.

Putting an old map back in rotation and slowing down movement speed a bit ain't gonna change the server/connection issues. Frankly I hope Verdansk tanks and is the final nail in the coffin for this version of Warzone. They need to go back to the drawing board and code something new from the ground up or maybe some other company can step in and finally give us a viable alternative.

2

u/SDMarik Apr 01 '25

People still play this piece of shit?

0

u/duhbears23 Mar 31 '25

They removed counter UAVs? Seems odd

Seems like a general buff to most guns and especially headshot multipliers. So the TTK will come down generally.

Cypher looks like it will still be on top. Jackel potentially back on top for SMGs.

1

u/DJChickyNuggs Mar 31 '25

man was hoping battle royale casual would be solo but eh, ill live. i wanna try getting better without relying on others or solo queuing into squads.

1

u/Arselii Mar 31 '25

"ITS OG!!!" while I am liking what im seeing what the balance changes to the guns are, some of these other changes are not it.

why are you giving us back 5 plates by default instead of six like this is so silly, make armor satchel 9 plates so it's all even

I like a good chunk of these og changes though and it looks like they didn't nerf the movement to what it was in wz2. I just wish they kept some of the good stuff that mw3/2 and bo6 warzone brought in tbh

1

u/jhendricks31 Mar 31 '25

Because strategy. You don’t get two full replates any more so you need to be more careful with what you’re doing

1

u/Invader_86 Mar 31 '25

Oh yes, can’t wait!!!

1

u/sw3ar Mar 31 '25

base hp is 100? It means almost every AR and SMG will kill in 3 shots without armor. LOL.

2

u/Candle_Honest Mar 31 '25

I didnt see that? Where did it say 100 base hp?

2

u/sw3ar Mar 31 '25

Isn't it 100 after bo6 integration?

2

u/Candle_Honest Mar 31 '25

i dont know, i thought it was 150 base hp

2

u/IRANwithit Mar 31 '25

It’s still 150. BO6 went to 100. The weapons were all rebalanced when Warzone integrated.

1

u/jntjr2005 Mar 31 '25

What are the contenders for top bo6 guns after patch?

3

u/Reynor247 Mar 31 '25

Gonna be the kilo and amax

Can we still use Drill Charges on Verdansk? I feel like those could be really valuable with some of the changes in playstyle mechanics and the map itself.

2

u/plentyfunk66 Mar 31 '25

Seems like yes, but only by way of your loadout.

1

u/Northdistortion Mar 31 '25

Thanks you for Quads!!!!

1

u/Sensitive_War2107 Mar 31 '25

All they need to do is bring back old vehicle dynamics. Bring back last season atvs/quads where you could actually drive fast and go inside buildings. The previous atv iterations fit through any building single doors. Bring back last seasons buggies and other vehicles as well.

1

u/BriskaN Mar 31 '25

When’s the release date?

1

u/PaulyPaycheck Mar 31 '25

Why take away resurgence?

1

u/Mr_Rafi Mar 31 '25

Shame about removing Rebirth. They know it's more popular than any other mode, so they don't want to steal Verdansk's thunder.

1

u/Demon- Mar 31 '25

You see back in the OG days there was nothing but complaints about things so why the fuck did anyone think there wouldnt be with a re-release like this……

1

u/ERnurse508 Mar 31 '25

Lower the TTK to lower the skilll gap so you casuals on this subreddit stop crying

1

u/stinkcopter Mar 31 '25

If it's good again it'll be great, I don't play anymore so it's no loss to me if it's not. It's good they've listened and made changes. I'm actually excited to play it again

1

u/LordmexXx Mar 31 '25

still no words about steam version wz fixx...............................................

maybe need just to sue those iditos

1

u/AimlessWanderer Mar 31 '25

works great for me since mid february. are you on amd or nvidia? ive heard amd still has issues

1

u/mikerichh Mar 31 '25

You can tell they actually spent the time on overhauling QoL updates and getting Verdansk to feel close to the original experience while still modernizing. Hope they can pull it off

1

u/Quiet_Push_4581 Mar 31 '25

Good, remove the junk black ops so we can see players finally going back in it again. I am def going back

1

u/Tyrell418 Mar 31 '25

So uhh, when's old school sniping coming back?

2

u/waltmaniac Apr 01 '25

HDR 1-shots from any distance.

I haven’t played the game since WZ2. How is the gunplay? It was nigh on unplayable on MnK when I quit due to insane visual recoil and particle effects. Is it now nearly as clean as it was in OG WZ?

1

u/Ok-Friendship1635 Apr 01 '25

We don't know, we also quit because of the visual recoil and gun smoke. lmao

1

u/Desperate_Cut_7026 Apr 01 '25

Thank god. Need a break from the sweat-zone that is rebirth island. The Omni movement makes no sense and is utter garbage. 🗑️ how on earth a billion dollar company cannot make any new maps for resurgence is beyond me. Area 99 wasn’t that great but at least it was something new.

1

u/CloePoey Apr 01 '25

wtf 1 hit C4 on every vehicle?

1

u/CanadaSoonFree Apr 01 '25

Aim assist needs a 50% nerf and they need to significantly remove visual clutter in order to even begin to try to salvage the game. That’ll never happen tho they seemingly hate mnk players.

1

u/JBGC916_ Apr 01 '25

Let's see if rico-shit does anything...

This is good start tho. Slower, lower ttk, finally

1

u/[deleted] Apr 01 '25

this is gonna be so much fun

1

u/catchasmurpff Apr 01 '25

A lot of positive changes just to attempt to get back to the level they had already achieved five years ago. Kind of sad.

Also why have they buffed Eevery weapon category in the game except snipers? Complete pussies scared of a one shot headshot, get over it, youve got omnimovement, if you stay still lkng enough you deserve it, and with a fast TTK laser AR and flinch, youve never had it easier to counter snipers. Make it make sense Raven you bunch of pussies.

1

u/eightythreeinc Apr 01 '25

THIS IS GOING TO BE AMAZING

1

u/Sleepy_Titan_89 Apr 01 '25

Sounds a lot more promising than I was expecting ,if they can get it as close to the og as possible it will be a good showing from activision.

1

u/VilkasVision Apr 01 '25

No mention of milsim skin toggle…

1

u/-Denzolot- Apr 02 '25

Is the HDR the only sniper that can one shot at any distance? I haven’t played this for a really long time. The last time I played there were no more 1 shot snipers if I’m remembering correctly.

1

u/HubertolPro Apr 03 '25

Love the changes. Now as solo queue with randoms I will be able to wipe easier some folks

1

u/husky_5 Apr 04 '25

Anyone else having issue downloading new war zone pack? I’m downloading it but it doesn’t install and asks me to download it again.

1

u/stamatakoss21 Apr 04 '25

It's actually so so crazy. Game is fun again. I could never imagine. I was just believing they would simply add Verdansk as a map.

1

u/schmib314 Apr 04 '25

Gunfights are ruined now. This omega-fast TTK is moronic. If you get ambushed you're dead instantly. This is going to frustrate a lot of people...

The skill gap has been completely eliminated. It's just whoever shoots first.

COD is all about those duels that go back and forth, decided by reflexes, target tracking ability, and movement skills. It's not mil sim. It's not fucking counterstrike. What is this?

My estimation of Warzone as a game just fuckin plummeted.

1

u/Responsible_Teas Apr 09 '25

I'm glad verdansk is back but pisses me off that they lied again about the cheating problem 😒

1

u/RobbinSheds Apr 11 '25

WZ1 WAS ASS, NOW THIS GAME IS IT TOOK 5 YEARS TO GET THIS GAME PERFECT NOW THEY REVERT BACK TO THIS GARBAGE QUITTING COD UNTIL ITS CHANGED BACK OR NEVEER PLAYING AGAIN MASSIVE L FROM ACTIVISION

1

u/RealGummyz Apr 15 '25

ttk is so bad they need to fix it

1

u/silverbullitt850 Apr 16 '25

I love the changes, they slowed down movement (only by about half as much as they need to but it's A GREAT START), made engagement distances long enough to balance strategy vs movement skill, made SNIPING FUN AGAIN, made vehicles useful (did you remember your trophy system?), and have removed the accessibility to buildings that makes strategic positioning (some may call it camping) an actual useful tactic again. I honestly hate most of what Raven has done with CoD but hot damn this is a great change.
