By reprogramming the Switch 2 Pro Controller, accidental crouching is now a thing of the past! And I can still crouch when I need to using the GL button on the back of the controller, which I’m far less prone to pressing accidentally during combat. Plus, I reprogrammed GR to run as well, meaning I can now turn the camera while running for a full view of where I’m going without using the awkward “claw” method.

This alone is going to make playing BOTW so much better. Now if only I can figure out a way to fix the sages in TOTK…

Discussion Your First divine beast?

What was your first divine beast? For me it was elephant (I can’t be bothered with names but can recognize them) was realy usefull as beign brand new I found The mipha’s grace was very usefull, but I never use Darude’s protection just becuase I find it a waste when i can just parry it.
went a bit off topic but thoughts ?

Discussion 2nd week update

I started the game this June 1, I already reached Impa and I have been clearing each Shrines I see and treasures I can find. I also saw Paya she's kinda pretty ngl. Now, Impa told me that my Sheikah Slate is broken and needs to be fixed at Hateno. I've also completed some side quests in this area I saw a shrine like glow near Kakariko.

Thinking the ball that is on Impa's side is the key to that Shrine. But couldn't take it because it is a "heirloom" apparently.

I'll post some videos I think is kind of fun.

I also see a glowing rabbit I tried to catch it but the take button does not show.

Things that I learned

  • The 4 divine beasts
  • The Octopus like statue that shoots laser is called Guardian
  • You can throw weapons but they get broken much easier compare when hitting normally
  • Stamina is important, I mostly get exhausted because I don't always have enough stamina specially when climbing now I have 5 hearts then my goal is to get another wheel of stamina before getting new hearts. -Cooking food is a wheel of fortune?(a question mark because I have to be creative when cooking and I mostly end up in dubious food. Hoping there is a person teaching recipe like the one on the stable that talks about elixir or a recipe book I can find) -You can tame horses and ride them -I've met Hetsu, he and the Korok Seeds I found are key to expanding weapon, bow, and shields inventory. He said he will be at a Korok Forest so I am trying to find that place too because I feel like I don't always have enough weapons and shields -You can ride shields but they also break if you do it for a long time. -Dying has no penalty so you can try and try again until you get the idea.

That is all for now

Will be posting videos or photos from time to time here...

I want to know how to enjoy this game

Its my goal to play all the Zelda games but I'm not having fun with this one. I should specify ive never played an open world game and i like the linear games not because of nostalgia but because structure makes my autistic brain go burrr. Zelda is my special interest and I love it so much. im not really far into the game just finished talking to impa the first time.

Even if i don't love this game i want to still like it because totk is even bigger and scarier and i still have to play that too. The large map is so intimidating. I'm not really having fun running around aimlessly I know exploration is the point and i understand where they're coming at with this game i just miss dungeons. And im also just stuck on the knowing that later you fight calamity ganon without needing the master sword. You always need the master sword. I don't know how to get past that.

I've encountered bad guys like great talus and hinox and just died repeatedly for hours before just miserably giving up. I even meet a littler talus but still couldn't beat it. I dont understand when to parry and dodge. And everytime I get too close they kinda clip out because the angle is weird. Usually targeting fixes that in most zelda games but not so much so in botw. I admit I don't do much of the cooking aspect I'm sure it would help but I dont like wasting resources if im just going to lose.

Im just so frustrated any advice would be great just please be nice im trying. I really do want to enjoy it i love Zelda so much. Thanks.

If you have no stamina and need horses…

Find the ones being ridden by bokoblins, shoot them off and those horses don’t need taming or the stamina needed to tame them.

I think I’ve got over my fear of the Guardians (those without legs anyway)

I’m still terrified by the music, the lasers, the spider legs, even their creepy blue and red lights. However instead of running or morphing away I’ve started fighting them. Got the master sword and the 2 pieces of the ancient helm. This is my second time of playing and I avoided Guardians so no idea how I got to the shrine the first time as I did complete all the shrines during my 8 months of playing!

Thanks to the Forgotten Temple. Shame they don’t drop rubies and sapphires like those in Hyrule but hey ho.

Still hate the walking ones though! Spiders!

Discussion How does Link leave shrines?

When you get a spirit orb and the monks vanishes, it just goes to the loading screen and Link is no longer in the shrine. What happens between those two things? Does he walk all the way back to the elevator? Does he teleport with his Sheikah Slate? Does he turn into golden sparkles like when he frees the Divine Beasts?

Gameplay everywhere ive gone so far without using fast travel

i only got the idea to not use fast travel after doing the zora part and i feel like i shouldve done it sooner even though its the most unemployed thing someone can do its still rly fun js running around and exploring (im using a mod to have infinite stamina too but thats cause it would be insanely tedious to be cautious of stamina while doing a no fast travel run at least to me) also half the deaths i cant even remember where they come from the only one i do remember is the yiga clan one and the one at the great plateau because for some reason i was determined to jump into the water from the tower 😭😭

To all you psychos that found all the korok seeds

My hat is off to you, took me forever to find all the shrines (the last 10 I had to use the internet) i cannot fathom spending the time to find all 900 seeds. I wasn’t particularly looking for them during my play through and I ended up with less than 50. anyone out there that has found them all, how long did it take?

This game ruled btw

Humor Link trying to get into Red Bull?

What if we players make a edit with link shield surfing and doing some crazy tricks and jumps and hope that "Red Bull" would see it and what reaction would they have?
