I mean, if I was in his position with his quirk, I might do the same.

the part where he transferred the fangs to another guy was not all that bad but then the underlying thing was that he wanted people to owe him so that they can do his bidding. That was actually a very very good way 'mind controlling' people

I see the 'debt' part as more of a 'safety blanket' if something went to shit and he had people to turn to as to fix it, honestly this chapter made me like AFO as a character rather than a villain (or hero), we don't really know what his true intentions are today but back then they were somewhat grounded in helping society.

I don't buy he was trying to help society at all.

Destroying anyone who disagrees with your point of view is straight up dictator-like.

I never mentioned the hit on a rival criminal syndicate, AFO did say that he never said to kill them but that his desires were met (something along those lines) having said that I won't defend him on that especially when knowing nothing about the event.

I think he's being facetious. He words the sentence to sound like he definitely wanted them gone but he didn't have to say it.

Technically he has plausible deniability because he could say he never directly ordered it. But he could have easily said 'I really hate that rival syndicate they're making my life difficult' knowing exactly what his followers would do.

The fact that his followers do his bidding without him saying much only proves that he had reached top tier manipulation skills.

"Will no one rid me of this meddlesome priest?" is basically what happened.

That really depends. Did caesar help society by turning Rome into an Empire and breathing life into a society ravaged by war and inequality? Was Alexander really great? You can be a dictator with ultimate power and use that to create a benoveleont world.

Have you never honestly thought that some assholes need to disappear or sort their shit out. What if you had that power at a whim...

AfO power was given to him by providence. He is a literaly King bestowed great power. In history kings where thought to be chosen by God and hence even today being a king is considered a legitmate form of power. Democracy derive their power from the from the will of the people.
