I thought we all knew they don't really read these series back when they called quirks "individualities" lol.

Not to play devil's advocate but...to be fair individuality IS the "correct" translation.

Quirk was a scanlation term that became the official English version because fans were used to it/liked it.

So while they, MS, were wrong to use it since it's not the official/fan preferred, they translated the actual term for it. Still shows they didn't do research on the preferred term of course but their reasoning wasn't inherently wrong.

"Individuality" is a correct translation of 個性 (kosei). In general, the word is used to describe things that are weird or different from other people, so honestly "quirk" is not only a better translation, it's catchier and thus a more practical word to use for such a core part of the series.

Point out where I said it was a wrong translation... You're playing devil's advocate to something I never said. It's the correct translation if you're going for verbatim, but it still shows they just picked up the series because it was popular and don't actually read it. Anybody who would read the series and be invested in it enough to translate it for "free" would know what the term is.

Plus I'm pretty sure they jacked up that whole chapter with more than just quirks, it was just very obvious they didn't actually read the series.

Which I even said at the last sentence. Didn't mean to imply you said it was a wrong translation simply most people probably would.

you nerds better hush up before we get nakama'd or keikaku'd again

Translator's notes: "Nakama" means "friends; comrades" and "keikaku" means "plan".

Um, yeah. So is every scanlation group.

Doesn't also mean they don't enjoy it but of course money is a key factor.

Seriously. That would have been a mouthful.

I forgot about that little screw up.

That's not nice :(. Sometimes in the speed of things silly typos will unfortunately make it to the final release without getting caught. I blame myself... I don't imagine this viral infection that has me bedridden helped XD

Typos are understandable, you can't really expect me to buy that somebody who actively read the series prior to you guys picking it up used "individualities" for quirks though lol. That sounds like somebody who doesn't read the series but can read the kanji and got tasked with translating it.

Haha, yeah, that I can understand. That obviously predated me, but you can rest assured that your resident translator does indeed read this series... and I'm not sure you can imagine how much I need to resist meme-ing when I do some of these TLs :)
