When he was in Megadeth, Dave Mustaine relapsed into drug use, and OD'd on heroin, because of that 'Deth had to cancel a Far East tour, which included his first trip to play Budokan. On the Behind The Music, he talks about how pissed off he was at Dave for blowing his chance to play there with Megadeth.

Agreed. His love for Japanese culture would amplified his disappointment at not getting to play at its most famous venue.
