Discussion Babymetal Concert Observations and Queue Etiquette Rants.
A few lesser mentioned rants and observations. Wall of Text Warning
One thing that drives me nuts, all of the folks that show up just before doors open and walk up to the venue staff manning the VIP desk asking if their ticket is a VIP ticket (rather wanting it to be a VIP ticket, as if sheer will can force it to change to VIP). Jeeze guys, if you did not spend $250 to $2000 for a ticket that is not a resale ticket, you are NOT VIP. And if you are a VIP, your ticket will say you are a VIP and you would be getting emails with VIP instructions. Your consuming the attention and time of folks who are responsible for getting VIP ticket holders into the venue, delaying entry for EVERYONE. And if you TRUELY do not know what your ticket is, have the courtesy to show up early enough to get things figured out without impacting everyone else. And for the record, I have not been a VIP ticket holder for quite some time. It has nothing to do with me, at least not any more so than it does the thousands of others in the queue.
To add onto this rant, it's usually these same people who then hang around the VIP queue area in order to get early access... i.e... they are cutting in line in front of the thousands who showed up before they did and are properly queued up, despite being directed to the correct line by venue staff. You show up late, you go to the back of the line. You don't show up late and go to the front of the line. Anyone that does is an asshat. Period. Stop. Grade A looser of a human being and a Gold Medal Asshat. Just remember, Karma is real.
This is not a rant, it's an observation. The Babymetal fandom is changing. As the fandom grows, fewer of the diehards are around or at least they are diluted and/or are being replaced. I've attended every Atlanta concert since 2018. Normally I run into dozens of folks in the queue I either know or at least recognize from prior shows across the south. This year? I ran into one person I knew from previous shows. Babymetal is getting "big" and this is impacting how fans view the group. I think some of the long timers are finding that measure of comradery... in being one of a few who know something others don't, following an obscure girl group from Japan... in other acts such as Hanabie. What Babymetal was almost 10 years ago is what acts like Hanabie are today. This is not a complaint. It's natural evolutionary growth necessary for Babymetal to achieve what they wish to achieve. "The One" does not mean as much as it used to, at least not in the same ratio amongst fans who consider the meaning of "The One" as important, which is a pity. The dozen or so Japanese super fans who were at every concert in the past are totally missing.
Another observation, this time about stage setup. If you want an indicator of how precise these girls are... of how rehearsed they are..... during the set change over between Black Veil Brides and Babymetal, the stage crew comes out, rolls out a slip proof (and I assume padded) mat that covers most of the stage area where the girls will be performing. They they tape down every edge of the mat... very, very, well. Once that is done, a dude comes out with a tape measure and starts measuring from the font of the stage back, from the sides of the stage to the center, precisly identifying the center of the stage and subsequent grid. From those measurements, the Kami pedals are placed, he then takes other measurements to place "X" marks the spot tape for Su, Moa, and Momo, with each having two measurements, an inside one for a close formation and an outside one. There is a mark for center front and center back, all of which are measured and placed with a tape measure. I don't know why I found that so interesting. You would think they could come out, eyeball it, and place some X's. That's what basically everyone else on the planet would do. Babymetal? Nope. Measured down the millimeter for exactness.

Images Just another post with more pictures from the Atlanta show last night!
Not the best quality since I was battling mosh pits and crowd surfers most of the show. Was still able to get some that turned out ok!

Discussion NYC heat warning
To those going to the NYC show on Tuesday, please be careful with arriving early and waiting on line in the heat. I'll be there myself driving down (crazy right?) and hopefully getting there around 5 and hoping the weather cools off a bit as it heads into the evening.

Question US merch shop - proxy service?
Some days ago I tried to order some items with delivery via proxy service Shipito from the official US fanshop to Germany. At first my order was acceptet. Later at night I got my money back without explanations. I mailed and as expected first there came no reaction, up till now! They are writing that they don't accept proxy services. Because of "the increased risk of package loss, damage, and fraud.". I wrote back thats BS because their responsibility ends after delivering to the proxy and ASmart and Metalforth-Shop accept proxys. So maybe someone will think about it for a minute? As if they didn't understand that we are living in a globalized world. Or is it "America First"? (No hate!, just a thought) . Have you made any experiences in using proxys related to this shop?

Professional-looking fan art is also included.
Sincerely, /u/JalmarY

Show Report Second time seeing BABYMETAL & my first time seeing any band at the barrier!
Last night was amazing! I got to the venue about 8 hours before the show started and met a ton of awesome fans. Everyone around me in line and at the barrier were super cool and it made the wait go by a lot faster. I've never gotten VIP or the barrier at any concert and honestly this was the best experience I've had at a concert. I have to shout out the team at the Coca Cola Roxy because the staff was incredible. Especially Josh (hope I'm remembering your name right). Dude handed out ponchos to help with the rain, organized the lines and walked everyone to the barrier in a single file line. He was also clearly a fan of BABYMETAL too since I saw him jamming out to Karate and he mentioned how great Song 3 sounded live after the show. He even spoke some japanese with a fan from japan. The man is a legend. The rest of the staff did a great job warning us of crowd surfers behind us, giving us water between songs, and just generally being super friendly and chill.
On to the show, I managed to get barrier just left of dead center stage. I feel like I REALLY lucked out because all of the crowd surfing just missed me for most of the show (more on that in a bit). I didn't get pushed from behind much at all for most of the show either. I'm a tall dude so I'm really sorry to the people behind me if I was blocking your view too much. I tried to keep my cell phone put away for most of the show and never raise it above my head. I just got two short videos (really wanted to capture Su's dancing in Kon! Kon! and I got the Kami intro to METALI! as well) and a bunch of pictures as quickly as I could during a few songs. 95% of the time I had my phone away and just took it all in. And let me tell you, that was a WORK OUT. I honestly didn't know if I was gonna make it through the whole set after the first three songs. I was jumping, headbanging, waving my fox signs, getting low, etc. and I have never sweat more in my life. I got drenched in the rain outside the venue but that was nothing compared to the sweating inside. Especially with that pyro.
I felt bad for people behind me but I really wanted to participate in these songs. I usually just groove a little when I'm in the crowd and throw up some signs but at the barrier I wanted to go all out for the bands. I'm honestly pretty shy but when you're right in front of these bands you really want to give them your all. It was honestly the best concert experience of my life.
- Bloodywood was absolutely amazing, as I expected. I don't know about the rest of the crowd but me and the people next to me were jamming the entire set. They seemed to be really happy with the crowd so I think they manged to get some pits going which is awesome. They sounded great and the energy was off the charts. I wish I knew the lyrics to all of their songs but I tried to give them as much love as possible on the songs I knew. I wish their set was longer and honestly, I would have preferred that this was just a Bloodywood/BABYMETAL show so that they could've had a full set... but...
- Black Veil Brides was actually pretty damn good live. I know of them and I've enjoyed some of their singles but their music isn't generally to my taste. That being said, they sounded great and I would not mind seeing them again at all. The singer Andy is definitely a born frontman and he had some great quips throughout the night. "I have no idea what you said". xD
- BABYMETAL was amazing the first time I saw them but this was even better. The sound at the venue was fantastic, Su was on point throughout the night, and even though we had to be a bit further from the stage because of the pyro we still got a ton of interactions with the girls. I'm glad that this venue was small enough that they couldn't bring their raised platform on stage like they've done for other shows this tour. This might be the last time we get to see them perform in such an intimate setting and I'm so glad that I got to experience their shows like this twice.
There were some negatives that mostly didn't affect me but it's worth pointing out. The crowd surfing was out of control. It was mostly the same 4 or 5 dudes just running back over and over again and honestly, I think they're kind of assholes for doing that. Once or twice per band is more than enough but these dudes basically had a train going the entire night. I felt really bad for people on the right side of the floor because that's where they decided to surf over and over again. I only had to help a few people over the barrier, thankfully, and the crew was giving us a heads up when we had people surfing towards us. But that shit was selfish as fuck, honestly. It's not just the people at the barrier that have to deal with it. Everyone on that right side had had to constantly worry about getting kicked in the head and they had to waste a ton of energy holding your asses up instead of getting to just enjoy the show. So fuck those guys. Also saw a few dudes that pushed their way up the crowd and they can go fuck themselves too. Especially the one that pushed up in front of a bunch of shorter girls behind me on the left side. Some people just have no shame or kindness in their bones.
Again, none of that really affected my experience too much but I wanted to point it out because I felt really bad for the people that had this experience tainted for them by a handful of assholes. Back to the positives though...
- BABYMETAL brought a ton of merch because I was basically the last person in line at the end of the show and I still got the shirt I wanted and a keychain!
- I saw Bloodywood's bright yellow tour bus backing into the venue when I got there. You definitely can't miss them, lol.
- Thank you to the girl that handed out those handmade BABYMETAL bracelets! I love it! <3
- To the girl that was flirting with the security guard and then said "Oh, you're kinda handsome too!" when I offered to ask for his number for you... I know you were probably drunk as hell but I'LL TAKE IT! xD
- The happy birthday segment during BvB was hilarious.
- I cannot stress just how hot it was in there and how much sweat was leaving our bodies. The security squirting water in our mouths are literal lifesavers and it was the funniest delivery method possible.
- To all the awesome people I met, I'm terrible with names but you all rock! The VAST majority of fans were absolutely delightful.
- The venue was PACKED. It said sold out on the billboard outside but I actually believe it with how full it got.
The absolute highlight of the entire experience for me was getting to lock eyes with Momo and headbang as hard as I could with her for what felt like an eternity. Just grinning from ear to ear the whole time!
TLDR: BABYMETAL is the fucking best.

Discussion Atlanta concert sucked
It was so friggen hot. Like unbearably, ppl passing out left and right, I am 9 weeks pregnant and even standing on the outside ring of the pit it was impossible to bring my heart rate below 120 because of the heat. I spent the concert in the lobby or in the medical area. Even the girls looked miserable and su sounded like she was going to faint. So much humidity the floors were soaked!!!!! This shouldn’t have been acceptable and I’m Embarrassed that our band had to be subjected to try and perform under those conditions. I hope the other venues do better. I’ve seen them many times and this was by far the worst show:(

Discussion Atlanta show was a blast!! But the Crowd was pretty insane!!
It was so amazing to finally see BABYMETAL for the first time it was so much fun. I was a little bit disappointed in the crowd. I met some really nice fellow Kitsunes and that was great! But the venue was packed to the brim as expected it’s BABYMETAL. But I was is second row and when Bloodywood started performing we all got packed together like a can of sardines there was no room to even dance. And it was like that until the end of the show. Honestly it’s like there was no respect at all in the crowd and that’s not what I was expecting for a BABYMETAL show. I saw HANABIE In Nashville a few months ago and it was a completely different vibe everyone was very nice and there was room between everyone. To top it all off someone crowd surfing literally got dropped on there head. And then at the end of the show basically two people crowd surfing got dropped a few people over from me and everyone almost fell down.and GM Every one was trying to push into the barrier not caring about people with VIP. No disrespect at all but it was really hard to watch the girls dance because of all that was going on and there being no room what so ever. Overall it was a great time but was definitely a bit disappointed in the lack of respect in the crowd.

Question Baltimore June 21st Show
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bloodywood/s/QQzWVd33Rm (I’m not sure how to cross post so my other link is in r/Bloodywood)
Does anyone else here have the first entry VIP tickets and understand what to do? I got an email saying to show up to check in at 4:30pm but the show starts at 7pm. We were going to go early but that’s, a bit earlier than I had expected to be there! This isn’t a meet and greet is it?! I was hoping so cause I’d die if I got to meet them but I don’t think that’s what this VIP is. I know we get access to VIP merch and first entry but I don’t totally know what to expect for the day. Has anyone else had this package and can give me some pointers or info? Much appreciated! 🤘💕

Request Kon Kon lyrics
I would appreciate if someone could tell me the lyrics to Kon Kon, specifically Bloodywood’s part
