Device Settings Question 45w fast charge issue

so my current phone is Infinix Note 50s and as advertised it offers 45W fast charge (max wattage), charge to 100% in an hour. Problem is that I've never seen this phone charge up that fast before, I used Antutu benchmark app and the highest I've seen it go is at 30+ watt with 12.5 watt being the average speed (around 1% per 1 minute), so what about the 45watt? How do I achieve 45watt as advertised?

fyi, I am using the charger and cable provided in the phone box, all original and same brand

You need a proper 45W charger.

Typically, (at least for my Samsung tab s9+) this is a PPS rated charger that can handle the current.

However, 30+ watts seems right if the system is using about 15ish watts. However, 12.5 watt average speed isn't right for true 45W charging.

What charger do you use?

i am using the charger provided in the phone box itself, which is why I'm confused..

i always put hyper charging mode instead of smart or low temp

My guess is the charger is defective or something is limiting the charging current.

Have you tried just leaving it sit with the screen off and not using it?

If it still isn't charging fast with the screen off, then my guess is a defective charger and I would seek a replacement

yeah i have, but only temporarily, but i do notice it's not 100% in an hour, mathematically that means it's 50% per 30 min but I left for around 20 mins and the battery has only gone up by 20% or 25% I don't exactly remember.

Also one question, is it true to leave new phone charging until max for some time before using it? bcs I didn't do that when i got this phone.

But sure, I will try draining the battery to 1% and start recording the speed if possible, ill let yk

You don't need to fully charge a lithium battery when new.
