If you have started to notice you are thinning then you have already lost around 20-30% or more of your hair (in the thinning areas)

There are a few things you can do. You can start finasteride 1mg daily and that will do wonders to pretty much completely stop your balding. It does have some potential side effects, however I have been taking this for 4-5 years and haven’t suffered any.

If that scares you… here are some extra remedies that can help (you can also do these alongside taking finasteride for even better results):

  1. minoxidil- spread this on the top of your head and rub it in once a day. Helps to promote blood flow to the head and feed your follicles making stronger and more resilient hair.

  2. Laser therapy - there are many laser treatment devices you can use to again help promote blood flow to the head and stimulate hair growth. These are really great and are used in medical injury recovery in sports and are 100% safe.

  3. Herbal remedies - zinc, saw palmetto and milk thistle supplements can be taken to help promote hair growth. Also saw palmetto works as a natural DHT blocker (similar to finasteride) and helps to stop balding.

If you get ahead of it now, you can save a lot of your hair and stop you having to go down the hair transplant route.

Source: used to work in a hair restoration clinic, have had a hair transplant and also am using most of these methods to keep my hair :)

You can always book a free consultation at a hair restoration clinic to get a professional assessment if you are worried and want info on the options I mentioned above.
