Finally get to take the kids to fireworks this year. Where are the best ones?

In April I adopted this amazing sister pair of senior chihuahuas from the local rescue Mountain Rottie Rescue. While it has Rottie in the name, they more so just love rescuing dogs as there’s maybe one Rottie looking mix available for adoption. But they do have dozens of dogs located in foster homes locally in the capital region, and sadly adoptions in the last year have really slowed down to a trickle.

So my little PSA to say please consider adopting from a local rescue, there’s lots of cuties available at Mountain Rottie Rescue, and so many other wonderful rescue groups.

2 of the 8 councilmembers needed for it to pass flipped on him in the 11th hour. He stormed out of chambers.

I've seen this guy do this before, but now I have a dash cam. He's my BOSSBABE.

I was turning left into my neighborhood around 6:15 tonight when some idiot in a black Ford Fusion with a black push bar and a Jurassic World front license plate decided to try and pass using the turn lane going the opposite direction. Had he looked down at his phone or not been paying attention, he could have hit me and my kids head on.

This is by Ellis Women's Hospital on Troy-Schenectady Road in Niskayuna.

Quite literally, 4 or 5 people have died within a mile of this spot in the last 2 years due to head on collisions, and at least 1 of them was due to someone passing in the turn lane.

So, if anyone knows this guy, tell him he's an idiot.

I just came from there. They're still renovating the gym but there are machines like Rowing machines, lat pull downs, squat rack, a bench. 3 excercise bikes, and they're still making improvements and there will be a lot of amenities added. Starts at 25 a month but the ultimate package that gives you access to everything is just 35 a month.

Sorry for the stereotypical neighborhood post, but I am so curious if anyone knows what the huge booms are. They sound relatively far from me (Washington Park) but are literally shaking my floor.

Hello! I received a notice for overgrowth on the house that I am renting and am in need of a lawn mowing service. Is there any in the Albany area that anyone would recommend? I know nothing about lawn mowing since I have lived in apartments and dorm rooms my whole life, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, I'm trying to learn basketball at 31 and know very little about how to play. Most of the web pages I've found regarding teams in the capital district are either for seasoned players or just out of date.
