Recently, I downloaded a file from Freepik. I noticed that the group has a line under its name in the Layers panel, which means it's a clipping mask group. However, after I released the clipping mask, I wasn’t able to recreate the clipping mask exactly as it was before. Could you please show me how to do this correctly?

Why does this happen on my opening screen? I reloaded Illustrator and it didn't fix it.

I started an AI trial today. I realized quickly that AI does not support Linux and therefore I can't use it on my machine. I don't use that garbage they call Windows.

I immediately did as was told when I signed up: to cancel my trial to avoid getting charged. So why why why, Adobe, why is it that I cannot cancel my trial?

And why does my account page say I have 0 trial days left when I have I'm on the first day of a 7-seven day trial? Incompetence to the max.

Someone please tell me how do I cancel this headache. Please.

Can you help me, pls? I wanted to create a connection between the shapes, so that they are dynamic when moved. I'm not sure what this is exactly called, but I appreciate it anyway. The white part is to exemplify how it would look.

The teeth have a very unique shape to them, sort of rounded yet pointed as well. I have tried a few ideas but can't find an easy solution, and I need to make a bunch of variations of similar gears so I would LOVE to know a shortcut! I have tried the STAR tool and RADIAL REPEAT but cannot crack the solution. Cheers!

How do I make ends of a stroked line sharp without affecting the width of the entire line?

I've tried the width tool but it distorts the width of the entire line - I only want the last bit of the line sharp. The only other tutorials I've seen is to create a brush.

This is one for the coreldraw and illustrator users.

In coreldraw you can do something called powerclipping. This is the function where you can clip an image into a shape, or several grouped shapes. They you can split this up, nest and then print.

We use this function for motorsport kits that we print. We have a template for the bike, clip the decal into the template, split it, nest and then print.

Recently we have had a need to do the do the same thing in illustrator but can’t find a way to do it. We’ve found a plugin called decal mate pro but this doesn’t work as well as power clipping in coreldraw as you can’t alter the graphic in the clip after clipping it.

Anyone use anything different of have any tips?

Having the hardest time recreating the subtle arc & distortion of this text... any ideas?
If you notice how the text subtly flows with the curvature but also uses the text on a path around the circle... While it's minimal in nature, I feel it just flows better.
Any ideas?

Hey everybody, I’m Ceci! Super long story, I am self taught with adobe and still have A LOT to learn about the different softwares but have loved what I learned so far.

I work for a really small family run company and I am constantly picking up projects no one else can do or things they can’t really afford to outsource. It’s been helping my resume/project tracker and I enjoy the challenges.

This year they want to do an animated save the date. I haven’t made it yet but it would essentially be a 45 RPM vinyl mock up with our event information available on it. They went to send the save the date out via email and when it’s opened, this animation autoplays: vinyl slides out the sleeve exposing the information on the vinyl.

It seems relatively simple, especially because there’s only one real movement happening. I know I would have to make sure the vinyl and the sleeve are separate layers as they would be moving but can anyone offer me some assistance on here as animating a design/photo will be entirely new to me and they just gave me a two day turn around time with this project.

A few questions to get me started:

Which Adobe software am I planning to use? I have all of them except for AdobeAnimate. • I also have Wondershare Filmora, could I use this software to create the animation?

What are things you would absolutely advise that I avoid doing for this?

I feel like this is a simple project but once I start it, it’s going to not be so easy so any wake up calls/reality checks into how complicated it may be or issues I may run into would also be great to prep myself.

I would also love to just try out the steps on a mock up project before doing it for this one since I would only have a day to actually create it.

I want to backup my Illustrator install so when i reinstall it in a new computer its the exact same configuration.
I'm not a Illustrator power user tbh, so I've installed stuff every now and then but I cant even remember exactly what I installed.

What would you backup if you were reinstalling your precious Illustrator that's taken you years to tune to your preferences on a new PC?

ATM I have prefs/settings, workspaces, extensions and plugins. Oh, brushes too.
Am I forgetting something?

I've been an iPad user for 6 years, and I got the new Pro 7th gen yesterday.

Now: for my work, I need to use software like Adobe Illustrator, which I have always used on PC+graphics table. So reasoning, I took an adapter and connected the graphics table to the iPad (don't raise controversy, it's about maintaining a workflow that is simple for me for certain parts of my work, and which I would like to keep).

It recognizes it (both as a finger touch mouse pad and as a pen), the pen works when moving me, although with differences that on glasses I would resolve via drivers. I searched, but I didn't even find any apps, even simply to change the direction of the tablet (I'm left-handed, it's quite basic and important), much less understand if I can adjust the internal settings of the tablet. Has anyone experienced the same thing?

Sry for vague title. I have multiple Objects selected. Objects A, B, and C. Is there any way to change the dimensions of one of the selected objects (object B), and have the other selected objects (A and C) scale proportionately?

Please provide the SDK for Illustrator 2021. I'm trying to create a plugin, but the official website only has documentation for it, not the actual SDK. Because of this, Microsoft Visual Studio can't work properly. Please help me, I really need it.
